Sophomore: This community college has helped me a lot. When I needed help with my academic plan and choosing the right path, I have been offered several knowledgeable advisors right away. The admission staff, instructors, advisors, and even my fellow students have helped me obtain A's in all my classes last semester! Every time I needed further guidance for my projects and tasks, the instructors were there giving me all the information and advice that I need. Moreover, the finance office staff processes my financial aid right away and I have received my financial awards and scholarship in no time! I wish they had a 4-year school/university. Sophomore: Western Kentucky is a great school to be involved and make life long friends, but it also has its downs. There are minimal food options and the living conditions could improve a little. The classes are really good at making you understand well, though. Our mascot is a little wonky looking but don’t let that fool you! We love our sports! Overall I would rate this school a 7.5/10. Junior: Madisonville Community College is a good school for anyone looking for easy and seamless education. I transferred in from another college in the area and it wasn’t difficult at all. Sophomore: There are many aspects of Eastern Kentucky Universitythat I like. EKU is very welcoming and encourages students to step out of their comfort zone. The professors care about the students and communicate well. The ratio between students and teachers is low, so a student can get some one-on-one time with the professor. They also offer tutoring in all subjects. The tutors are very helpful and are available seven days a week. The dining hall has good food and plenty of space to sit and enjoy a meal with your friends. The Rec Center is new and has a weight room, basketball courts, a swimming pool, e-sports lounge, a walking track, and a rock climbing wall. I really enjoy the Rec Center and I enjoy renting tents an kayaks. I enjoy the grounds of EKU, there are ample places that you can study or focus on your mental health. Sophomore: Attending Elizabethtown Community & Technical College has been a very special experience for me. My mom, dad, brother all attended ectc, so it feels extra special to be continuing that on, almost like a tradition. Although many young people would prefer to attend a university, in my opinion what makes ectc so special is the fact that it is a community college, it feels like a small town where everyone knows each other. I have found myself making great relationships with students and teachers. One thing I would want to change at ectc is the activity rate, I want to encourage more students to help out around the school or even join clubs. For example, tutoring is a great way to help our peers feel more confident and comfortable in the classroom, which may also make our school as a whole look better academic wise.
