Sophomore: Kansas State University couldn't be more perfect for me and for what I'm majoring in. They have so many resources for students for all kinds of situations including research opportunities, on-campus jobs, tutoring, financial assistance and so much more. All of the instructors that I've had have been very open about expectations and how to succeed, and there are many advisors, instructors, etc, that you can reach out to when needing assistance or information. Freshman: My experience in Garden City Community College has been great. I love the teachers and the program they have here. They take care of you and talk to make sure you are not struggling. This school has so much to provide to student who don't have a lot of money to afford going to college. They help you find scholarships or help with financial aid. I cannot wait to start the nursing program next year, hopefully I can get in. This college has shown so much support to students from out of the country. I like the experience I have my first year and hope it goes well my second year. I like that this college is not that stressful and that it gives you a place to feel safe. They make sure you feel at home and that you can talk to each other if you feel like you miss your home. But I got lucky because this college is next to my town. Alum: Hutchinson is a great option for those looking at earning some online credits as well as working on an associate's degree on campus. The online infrastructure through this college is robust, quality, and pretty affordable. While some areas are less equipped, the sciences department is a standout. For those looking at on-campus classes, HutchCC has done a fantastic job maintaining the physical campus and it really is a standout community college nestled in a sleepy town. The library is particularly great for a school of this size. Plus those interested in astronomy or space history will be thrilled that the Cosmosphere is right next to campus and offers some world-class exhibits and learning opportunities. Freshman: I thought that I would be able to attend this college with no hiccups, but there have been a few bumps in the road. I have no problem with the teachers and staff that work at FSCC, but I have had a hard time figuring things out. I live off campus in my own apartment and rent can get crazy, it fluctuates according to my income, so I cannot always save money aside to pay off my debt. They never got my theater scholarship application so I now have to wait while they process it to get my books for my classes this semester.
