Freshman: The professors are great and gives you time to learn about what you want to major in! I enjoyed how much my success coach wanted to help me and how much they cared for their student's success. I learned so much at Lincoln Land and saved so much money in the long run which has helped me out tremendously. I was nervous about going there because all of my other friends had found their footing at 4-year universities, but it gave me the chance to do things at my pace and have the opportunity to take it slow. I would recommend Lincoln Land to anyone who wants to further their education, but wants to do it at the pace that suits you. The professors really do care a lot about you and try their best to help you learn, even the hardest of concepts. The student life likes to put on activities to make it feel more like college. Senior: Spoon River College is such a supportive and resourceful college to attend. Spoon is just the type of school that really wants to see you succeed and helps make sure that you succeed. With the many resources and supportive programs they have it’s all a college student could ask for. They make life as easy as possible for you whether you choose in person or virtual classes. Spoon has influenced me to open up to using resources more as well because I wasn’t too fond of it at previous schools. Freshman: Kish seems to be a very nice school to get around and see if on what you are trying to get into. If you are just doing a 2 year or wanting to transfer they seem to know what to do! It helps that it isn’t such and huge place and people are please to help you navigate if you are lost. The newly constructed buildings, especially building one and the health science buildings give big city vibes, while still being affordable for small town living.
