Sophomore: During my time at ATI I have experience many new and exciting things I never thought I would achieve. I started out knowing very little about my major, but with the help of my professors and other students I have been able to learn and accomplish so many things. Although I had little experience on the farm work, I decided I wanted to peruse a career in agriculture, specifically Crop Management. My first semester at ATI I was very lost and confused. It seem that everyone around me knew everything and anything to do with crops, so most of the time I sat back and listened and tried to obtain the knowledge from what my peers would say. Freshman: My overall experience at Kent State University at Tuscarawas was very good. The only thing I had trouble with was some of the professors I had that made me struggle more in the academic department. I enjoyed being hands on in Biology Lab with my peers and learning more as the days went by. My favorite part about this campus is how they offer the Vet Tech Program. I am in fact now in the program and cannot wait to take on more hands-on experience. The reason for my struggles with the professors are the reasons being that some were really hard to understand while others were very unorganized. A lot of stress came upon many students including me when these professors were giving us what we needed. For example, I had a professor that did not give us the correct material to have before tests due to him generating the tests on a website. Sophomore: I received the Presidential Scholarship for Northwest State Community College, which covered my tuition for my time there, but other than that, this institution is very affordable. My advisors were very helpful in organizing my degree plan for my semesters there and helping me build up to a transfer to complete my bachelor's degree at another institution. The professors, both for my online and in-person classes, were excellent. For the most part, they were always able to provide timely and helpful answers to my questions, and they have flexible office hours for commuters and online students. The environment is so friendly, and there are opportunities to seek support, both with courses and with general life challenges. Freshman: Wright State Lake has been extremely good and convient for me. They are able to provide a quality eduction with smaller more personal type classes. Instead of a big study hall full of students, there are classes with less than twenty people and everyone is friendly. This has made starting college more inviting and far less scary for me. The pricing is fair, and the location is everything for me since I live near by. I am able to still live at home and attend my in-person classes which is why I mainly picked the Lake Campus. However since I do not hang around campus too often, I'm not to familiar with the quality of life for a student living there. I've never had the food, seen the dorms, or really explored beyond my classes. I am willing to bet based on what I have seen in my time there, it is just as pleasant as the classes are.... Senior: Wilmington College is a small private school, allowing students to have personal connections with the staff and students that are around the campus. Students have a more opportunities to be involved in groups and not feel overwhelmed by a bunch of people being in one area at once. Wilmington College does a fine job at keeping the students all on the same page as to new events happening around campus and great new ways to be involved. Some changes I would like to see happen is that for many of the sciences there are not many opportunities when it comes to experiencing the science fields outside of the college campus. Sophomore: I have had a great experience with Stautzenberger College so far. At first, I was leery about how I would perform in the class room and how my grades may turn out due to not being in school for quite some time but the staff at Stautzenberger are more than willing to help make you feel comfortable and the work was, to my surprise, not as difficult as I had presumed. The instructors are very knowledgeable and thorough about the information being presented and always happy to lend a hand and explain anything that you may not fully understand. Stautzenberger Community College provides an abundance of resources for their students and will also help with job placement. I am very satisfied in my choice of college with Stautzenberger and if I had to start over, I would choose Stautzenberger again.
