Senior: Amazing, I love it! The people are ambitious and passionate. Plus, the financial aid brought most students here, so there is a healthy mixture of different economic classes too. Throughout the year, the campus vibrant and full of life. Plus, we are all academically challenged and they have begun to value both the science and arts equally. So, it’s common to meet students who may be a strong engineering student with a passion for singing. Regardless, CWRU will provide with the resources to be successful. While it is primarily white and Asian (based on demographics), there is an ever growing black and brown population. And with their new effort to support the surrounding community, the campus is becoming much safer and more enjoyable. Freshman: My experience at Bowling Green State University has been nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere on campus is just radiant and I could not see myself at any other campus. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, and all the staff just want you to succeed. The right-knit community just makes this university home. Students on campus, like myself, just have the best time! Alum: YSU was an amazing university. The availability of classes, especially in a smaller major, made completing the degree on time very easy. The campus was clean and felt safe despite being located in a city with some unfavorable statistics. The professors were top notch, intellectual, challenging and welcoming. Senior: I am a returning student at The University of Akron. After earning an associate's degree in 2002, I joined the working world. After many, many years away from school, I decided to return for a bachelor's degree. I reached out to an advisor who was extremely helpful. She worked with me to make sure that all of my prior credit hours were applied to my new degree, and worked with me to create a school schedule that would accommodate my full time work schedule. She has been instrumental each semester to ensure that I stay on track to meet my graduation goals! Taking online classes has been much easier than one would expect. Other: Clermont College is a great option for anyone looking to take basic college classes. The class sizes are small and the professors know their students by name. Because of the small size of the school, most students study and hang out in the same areas and become familiar with each other. All the students and friendly and the professors really care about each of their students. The cafeteria food isn't great, but that's not a big deal since all the students commute. All the classes at Clermont College use the same technology that the rest of the University of Cincinnati uses, so the college's learning management system is high quality and easy to use. The biggest downsides to Clermont College include the lack of extracurricular activities, the lack of specialized classes and degree programs, and the lack of prestige and course rigor.... Junior: Wright State University (Dayton campus) is an amazing institution. It is located in Fairborn, Ohio, and the closest big city is Dayton, although Columbus and Cincinnati are fairly close too. All of the professors I had during one semester there were amazing (majoring in psychology). The campus is beautiful, especially in the fall, and the school has underground tunnels for when it is cold or raining outside. The dorms are close to the campus, and for people with cars, there is parking available. There are a lot of international students. There are a lot of commuter students too, so the events on campus are not visited that much. However, they are awesome! There is a fitness and wellness program, with a swimming pool, group fitness classes, two gyms, and more. Wright State is one of the cheaper universities too, especially for locals.
