Senior: The UofM Twin Cities is an amazing public university! It offers just about any program you can think of and many of these programs are ranked extremely well in the United States, as well as around the world. Much of the faculty is involved in groundbreaking research, which enables students to be involved in research as well. The academic standards are rigorous but not too demanding to be successful. The location in the Twin Cities is wonderful for access to opportunities in the community for internships and partnerships. There are tons of student groups and activities for students to get involved in, which helps makes the large school feel smaller and offers opportunity to build a close knit community here. Having Division I sports means there is always a fun sporting event to go to, many of which are free for current students. Freshman: LSU is not only diverse, campus wise, but they have a diverse set of options for students who have specific interest. For example, for those who enjoy sports, we have some of the best football games/events in the nation, aswell as one of the best Recreational centers I've seen. On the other hand, students who are more focused on the academics, have opportunities like the honors college and academic groups. Ofcourse, it doesn't just stop there, as there is a vast amount of religious and inclusive organizations. Another great aspect on campus are the friends I've made, many of the residence and students on campus are kind and open minded. Louisiana State is currently changing. Theyve had new additions and renevations to the Engineering College and they are currently working near the Science Hall. Freshman: Attending the University of the Incarnate Word has been such an amazing experience! My Professors have been extremely accommodating to my academic and non-academic obligations. On a few occasions, I've had to miss class or show up late, due to my work schedule conflicts. My Professors showed compassion and understanding. The staff at UIW have been helpful, as well. Freshman: As an international student having no experience, I was skeptical about applying, but I must say the overall experience was wonderful, as the application process was seamless, and the documents needed for the processing of my application were not much. My questions were dully answered, and I was communicated if something was missing in my application. Furthermore, the availability of scholarships to indigent and non-indigents, makes the package astounding. You also don't need to submit another application; you are automatically considered for scholarships. The tuition fee and costs are affordable, and the opportunity to work on campus is granted to enrolled students. One thing I benefited from was the free application month. Sophomore: I love just being and walking around the campus. There are many trees and beautiful cacti around. Everything on campus isn't too far. Maybe a 10-minute walk for buildings that are on the other side of campus. The main library is always full but it's nice because then the rest of the libraries on campus are usually empty. The Architecture Study Library is my favorite one on campus. It's always nice and quiet. Additionally, the group study rooms tend to always be available which is great. In my first year, I had to live in the dorms and it wasn't too bad. The space is pretty big. My first roommate left the first week of school and I was randomly paired with my second roommate. She was nice but we just had completely opposite personalities so living together was a little hard. The dining common food isn't that bad. It's actually pretty good. Freshman: Enrolling and applying for Cochise College was extremely easy with plenty of people available for questions and help. The entire staff I had interreacted with made enrolling and understanding things like finances and tuition much more approachable and smooth to go through, espeically while requesting disability accommodations. Planning and holding meetings were quick and very efficient to get what I needed with little to no hassle. I really appreciated how approachable they made each task instead of surrounding the whole process of enrollment and figuring out my tuition with even more dread. I have not started classes yet so I cannot speak on my actual experience with that yet, but every before school task I had to complete as a college freshman was easily glided through. Senior: Indiana State is a great mid-size school especially for some of the uncommon majors the school provides. Campus is beautiful, especially in the spring and fall. There is a ton of encouragement to join student organizations and get involved. Professors and faculty do care about the students wellbeing! Terre Haute is not a terrible town and has its quirks but overall not a bad place to go to school. Athletics are decent and fun to watch. Baseball competes every year and basketball games are fun as the Hulman Center is an awesome arena for a school of this size. Would recommend ISU for good value and unique opportunities....
