Sophomore: I have only attended Folsom Lake College online due to Covid-19. Still, my experience has been amazing! The professors have worked very hard to help make the online environment as close to an in-person class as possible. They are always there to answer questions and always ready to make assignments as easy to understand and complete as possible. The professors have helped motivate me to work as hard as I would if I had to meet with the class fac-to-face. They do this by commenting on posts and encouraging you to press on even when you don't do so well on an assignment. It feels like they really want to help. Classes are so much better when professors are hyped and excited to teach, and especially when they actually care about your success in the course. Sophomore: Sierra College changed my entire outlook on community college. I was able to start taking classes at Sierra in my sophomore year of high school; they had integrated dual-enrollment courses so students could begin accumulating college credits. I took as many of these classes as I could, and was able to graduate high school early, and enter Sierra College full-time in the Spring. This transition was made easy by the Sierra College counselors and professors, who all encouraged taking a non-tradiational pathway. My education through Sierra College has been nothing but advantageous. The college offers a wide variety of classes, which made it easy for me to complete my transfer requirements in under two years. I am now able to transfer to any CSU and multiple elite four-year colleges with 62 units on my transcript. In addition to this, the campus is beautiful. Sophomore: Sacramento city college has been such a great experience for me. From the friends I’ve made who have show me clubs, resources, or how to load up to print on computers. The location of the school, the counselors, everything magical here is endless. Almost 10 years ago I started here having two children, taking many life changing breaks. Sophomore: The resources at American River College are pretty good. The transfer pathway from here to UC is well planned, and you can transfer to most UCs with little to no issues. They have the Beaver Cares program which gives food to its students! In addition they have plenty of employment opportunities for students which help them to gain some upward mobility. Safety wise the campus could be better, because bikes often get stolen here and there are some crimes that happen here sparingly. Freshman: At Woodland Community College I have found my true purpose and interest, which is child development. Freshman: Only rating the Medical Assisting/phlebotomy program. The school follows all CDC guidelines regarding the containment and control for handling covid-19. Staff are professional and everyone will give you a welcoming greeting once you step foot onto the campus main building. The school also provides labs to help aid towards understanding a course and its material better. MTI offers a handful of payment options towards tuition. Pertaining to education, the instructors provide an abundance of tools that will be applied to any job site within the medical field.
