Junior: I have been at Foothill for almost three years now and throughout these past years I feel like I am very satisfied with my education here. Freshman: Ogeechee Tech College seems like a nice college campus with friendly and helpful staff members. I plan on attending there for this coming Summer semester so i am more than excited for that! The area around the college seems a little depressing and gloomy but hopefully i will like it once i start. The only thing i do not really care for is the layout of the college campus buildings. Junior: UAS is absolutely the right school for me. It's small size allows me to form personal relationships with professors, administration, and staff. Our student services staff (including disability services) are very passionate and willing to help. Our campus housing is miles above most schools, though the meal plan is not very good. This school is full of passionate people who care about your education. There are also lots of opportunities for on-campus jobs and research. This is by no means a party school, but you will have no trouble socializing, and there's always the bars off campus. There are a few areas where we are underfunded, but those problems are not deal-breakers for me. I love UAS, and I am proud of my school. While my classes are at the Public Safety Training Center, I am frequently on the main Appleton campus, and it is an amazing place. The culture and friendliness from the staff and students is welcoming and they will go out of their way to help you. The food on campus is pretty nice as well. They do something neat at the main campus for lunches, where the culinary students prepare meals for the students. Other: College of San Mateo really impressed me as a community college. I was a high school students a part of the middle college program there. The amount of resources that you have access to as a student is mind blowing. From Mental Health Resources, to Disability resources, to an abundance of interesting classes, any goal you have with going to college, CSM has got your back. As far as things that could be changed, I would say that a kind of student to administration communication line needs to be opened. While it is the nature of college that professors essentially get free reign on their classroom, when I did have a problem with a professor that they refused to work out with me, I did not have anywhere to lobby my complaint, at least, to my knowledge.
