Freshman: This is my first year taking any college classes, I am working full time as a LNA (licensed nursing assistant) in the intensive care unit at my local hospital and have nothing but very helpful teachers. I am taking 4 classes to hopefully get into nursing school next fall. The teachers have been so kind and helpful when I need help. If you need help on an assignment they will gladly help you. If you are sick or if something came up with life and you couldn’t complete an assignment they tell you to just get it done as soon as you can. They also will let you redo assignments if you don’t like the grade you received. Although online schooling is very difficult with technology and not being able to immediately get an answer if you are in a class room, the teachers try to help you the best the can through e-mail or even a phone call or text message. Junior: What I like about Northern Vermont University Lyndon is the location of the campus and the natural landscape first and foremost. I am up there studying Atmospheric science so that aspect of it is very important to me. I love being able to take walks around campus and in the woods around campus given the natural features that that part of Vermont has to offer. I also love the Atmospheric science program there. It is the best one you will find in that region of the United states. Overall my experience with the entire campus, my major, location, professors, and food has been very satisfactory.... Freshman: It is a great school. If you are someone who is a hands-on learner this is the place for you. If you learn better with a smaller class, we got that. Our current student body is 70. this is really nice because it makes things way easier when it comes to making friends and connections. It also brings our community together and makes us stronger. Let me tell you the food here is AMAZING! I am a picky eater, but I eat pretty much everything they serve here. the nice thing about the food here at Sterling is that 80% of the food comes from our own garden and Farm. Everything Else comes from local business and other farms from surrounding communities. With all the classes being hands on for the most part I thrive when it comes to learning. One of my classes this semester I literally hang out with farm animals all day long. Junior: Goddard is amazing for students who are self motivated and excited to learn. The ability to build your own curriculum allows students to pursue what they are most interested in while fulfilling all degree requirements. As a small school, Goddard is a tight nit and diverse community of people who are passionate about changing the traditional way of Education. The schedule is almost entirely asynchronous, allowing students to fit in school with their schedule.
