Graduate Student: I had a great experience here. They help you every step of the way, from application to financial aid to study to completion. I took the entire Masters courses in English and they were very helpful throughout the entire process. The work is hard, that is true. I gave up pretty much every weekend in order to fulfill the requirements but I do not regret it one bit. The only con is getting in contact with them is not always easy. Long phone delays sometimes frustrated me. When they fix that, they will be an excellent institution of learning. Kudos on a job well done!... Read 75 reviews

Senior: I think a lot of great professors are taken for granted, by faculty and by students (including myself at one point). I had an amazing time with the research opportunity I had, but I think they should talk more about those opportunities because students are left in the dark. I was able to find it because of another student. I applied to the work and study program for 2 consecutive years and they never contacted me. I even went to the library for 2 weeks, almost everyday, because I was trying to get on a list for a job, and they kept telling me to come back later, until the last day when they told me they had just sent the list and I couldn't get on it. I don't think it's a bad university, but just keep in mind the students have to stay on top of things and insist on what they want/need. The faculty, staff, employees are nice (in my experience) and it has a good program variety.... Read 164 reviews

Sophomore: What I like, primarily, about the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico is that the campus is relatively small, and everybody knows each other. Therefore, a friendly cooperative environment is created. Additionally, the professors take their jobs extremely seriously and are always willing to help or provide any type of guidance. As a result, you are continuously learning and motivated to keep up with your work. College Junior: At first I didn't know if this was the place to go. Upon arriving to my first class, most were freshmen. The teacher was a bit late but once he started giving class he gave you our very first assignment. Write a pitch. And he spoke to us in a way that it felt like we weren't even students. He took us seriously. Then you realize they all do. They have great attention to detail and they make you feel like you are learning something new every day without trying. You do have to make effort in what you do but it's an involved school. The staff is always nice and it's surrounded by passionate students. If I could do it all again I would. Those first ten minutes erased every doubt I had. A huge plus is that it's the only good and up to date film school in the island, with only two schools. It works with the students necessities and it makes sure every one of us have equal chances. It's also increasing the number of females per year.... Read 2 reviews

College Senior: It is a great school to go to if you want to skip the experience of a full college exploration. You must be decided though that this is what you want, because the course goes by quickly. If you only want to work quickly and don't aspire to earn a higher degree understand that they give you certain tools, but to expand on them in the work field you will have to expand you education. By having this support I was able to graduate with an average grade of 3.6. I am very proud to say that I graduated from one of the best colleges in Puerto Rico.
