Freshman: I really liked that there were lots of resources available like information centers, student government, reading and writing centers, the library, academic advisors, counselors, counceling therapy, and much more! I wouldn't change anything about this college because everybody on campus (as far as I know) are very helpful and there are tons and tons of resources available to everyone. This is also my first year here at this college so I can't really say what should be changed or not simply because I am still new to this campus and still getting used to everything on the campus. All I can say is that this is a great place to start if you are looking to transferring to another college after 2 years or if you simply just want to take classes to freshen up your skills for your job. This college has welcoming arms for everybody from every culture. They support everyone and believe that everybody's experience is equally important. Graduate Student: My experience at Great Basin College was a stressful but very good one. I did the electricial program which is a very good program but so much gets thrown at us at once which made the school year challenging, but having the right instructor there which I did made it easier to make it through the program and graduate. I met many new people who I have become close with and am grateful to have experience what I have at this school. There is not much I would change other than the pace of the program I attended, but I understand that in this field of work there is so much to be learned that makes it difficult to slow things down. Junior: I have been at Career College of Northern Nevada for two phases. Before coming here, I went to TMCC for a semester. I highly prefer Career College of Northern Nevada, and would definitely recommend attending to anyone who is interested in career training! The teachers are the most thoughtful and engaged teachers I have ever had- they are always available if you have questions or need extra help, and are always understanding. The staff at Career College of Northern Nevada are also very kind and helpful, regardless of what you need assistance with. The courses go very fast but are very educational, and I love that there are no filler classes like other colleges. Everything you learn relates to your career field and is helpful information, rather than pointless and expensive fillers. I like that the learning is very hands-on, as it helps students to succeed in future careers. Freshman: In the best of ways, I don’t recognize the anxious new mom who walked into Carrington College on my first day back in August of 2021. I hadn’t done well in school for over a decade and in some way I was convinced I’d failed here, too. But I was determined to succeed here— for me and for my miracle baby for whom I’d do anything. My professors, one in particular, have gone above and beyond to help me with that goal and the administration itself have been nothing but kind and accommodating to my hyper-specific needs and circumstances. Freshman: Nevada Career Institute is a great college and am happy to be a student here. The staff is extremely helpful and genuinely care about every student. The instructors are knowledgeable, have experience in their respective fields, and go above and beyond for their students. My instructor, Ms. Jennifer Holecek, is probably the best instructor i have ever had because of her patience, knowledge, encouragement, and integrity. Freshman: Working 8 AM - 5 PM makes going to college difficult, so I love how general classes are in the evening from 6 PM to either 8 or 9 PM (Depending on the class). Arizona College works with students if there are certain days that do not work for them. Although general classes are 8 weeks long, I like that there are only 2 classes at a time! There is a “hard” class and an “easy” class. This way, students do not have to worry about 2 difficult classes at a time. Since classes are only 8 weeks long, there are a lot of assignments! But as long as there is time management, getting an A and learning the material is possible! And I like how all general classes required to move on to core classes relate to what will be needed for core and in the nursing field! In my experience, professors make the class relatable by giving examples and insights as to how the class will help in the nursing field. And the professors have all been helpful.... Read 13 reviews

Freshman: Aveda is a place to learn about hair in general. They teach in all the learning styles and aim to teach whomever crosses their path. The instructors are patient and long-suffering. Graduate Student: What I like about euphoria beauty of arts and sciences, is how the program is a time crunch program, but also a program that really dives down into the courses itself. For example, the course I’m taking is cosmetology. Cosmetology focuses on hair, esthetics, and nails but mainly hair. If you’re in need of help, the teachers will take the time to actually break down what needs to be broken down rather than rushing the work. I also like how the school can help you find jobs right after graduation or if you’re wanting to own your own business the career advisor office will help you with that as well. When looking for beauty schools to attend euphoria was just one click away it was the first one to come across one searching for beauty schools to attend.
