The community is strong and the recourses available are lifesavers, wether your fresh out of high school or someone wanting to get back into the education seen, Aims has plenty to offer. Though with all the good I have experienced a number of issues with the cashiers office with moments of a lack of professionalism in terms of conducting oneself in particular with being quickly dismissed and spoken to in a rude manner. Alum: This is a fantastic community college! Classes are very affordable compared to larger colleges, and if you don't have the funds to pay for tuition at the beginning of the semester, the Financial Aid office will help you find a solution. Furthermore, RRCC offers a wide variety of online, in-person, or hybrid classes to suit your schedule, and most of them are guaranteed to transfer to other colleges in Colorado. The professors are very supportive and want you to succeed with your academic goals. Plus, I prefer the small class sizes here over the larger, more intimidating classes at state universities. Also, it has great facilities and resources including a brand new student rec center, an IDEA lab to introduce students to engineering, the Arvada campus dedicated to the health sciences, a bookstore, and a coffee shop. Junior: UNCO is an excellent school with a strong sense of community. Students are friendly with each other, there are ample clubs and groups to join on campus, and many of the professors are happy to work with students individually and provide resources and help. There are many dorm halls so students won't have to worry about being unable to find housing. The dining hall food is average at best, but luckily there are other dining options such as Einstein's Bagels, Subway, Starbucks, and more being constructed. Freshman: Overall I have had a fantastic experience with Community College of Denver. From the very beginning after submitting my FAFSA, to picking my degree plan, through enrolling in classes, they have been quick, efficient and very helpful. I did run into a small hiccup at the very beginning as I had originally filled out my application for the Fall/Spring semesters of the 23-24 year; however, I quickly changed my mind and wanted to begin taking classes as early as the Summer 23. While this may not have caused me any trouble if I had selected the correct major from the start, I ran into some trouble after changing from doing a certificate plan straight into the AAS degree plan, and it took some finessing to fix my enrollment to correctly show the degree plan, and therefore allow financial aid to cover my classes.
