Graduate Student: Overall, I enjoyed my time at Bucks County Community College. I started as an engineering major, which ended up being a mistake. The prerequisites are very tedious and redundant and most of the STEM teachers are not good at their job. They were all great people but just did not know how to teach students. Once I changed my major to Film Production, I had a much better experience with much better teachers. I think the biggest thing I think should be done differently is allowing students more freedom in classes and how/when they take them. The best part was how friendly all of the staff were.... Sophomore: I am going to be a second-year student at Montgomery County Community College this semester at the Blue Bell campus. In-person, the faculty is extremely welcoming and the quality of learning is great! I struggle with anxiety yet nobody made me feel uncomfortable or that I was out-of-place. The professors are extremely understanding and are willing to work with you if you ever need assistance. Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same for the online classes. I took summer classes this year and it was very difficult. The professors were not easy to contact and the workload was hard to manage. However, despite these challenges, the students in my classes were very helpful. We had the same issues most of the time and we worked through them together. Overall, I would recommend enrolling here because I had mostly positive experiences and I learned a lot of valuable information. Junior: There are several reasons why my experience attending Wilmington University is great. The college environment is healthy and friendly. The accounting program that I’m in is doing a great job teaching me the information and giving me the tools that I need to succeed in the accounting field. The knowledge of have gained from the overall business program (as opposed to solely the finance core classes) has tremendously helped me expand my usefulness to my future employer(s). Some of the online classes are better than others because some of the professors have surpassed others by using video lectures, Zoom meetings, written and presentative resources, and just overall did better than other professors. I think all schools probably have this fluctuation in consistency. I am completely satisfied with the education I have received and WilmU and equally as important, the cost was affordable enough where I could pay cash. Sophomore: The professors are great and really want to see their students succeed. My advisor now is awesome. However, I had a horrible experience with my first advisor that suggested I take remedial classes in math even though I scored very well on my Accuplacer test. Make sure you advocate for yourself and if you're not pleased with the way you're treated, make sure you make that known through the proper channels. The workers in the financial aid office are very well informed and the workers in the business office are very kind. The librarian is amazing and will help you in any way she can. Alum: This community college is wonderful. I previously attended there and graduated and now I'm back for another degree. It's a clean, simple campus with an easy layout. The professors are wonderfully qualified and all of the staff were so kind. With admissions, the process is always streamlined. They make every process from registration to financial aid very easy to understand. Sophomore: Great scholarship called SEED program for Delaware residents and it’s easy to get! You get all classes paid for with it and only have to pay for books. Alum: Delaware College of Art and Design is an amazing school if you aren’t ready to set foot directly into a larger art institution/a bigger portion of the art world.
