Junior: Lincoln Memorial University is a wonderful place to attend college. The campus is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention, there is an abundant amount of rich history right in this area. It has become a place to call home with people to call family. There is a variety of majors one can choose from. There are also amazing opportunities such as studying abroad. The campus is big on student involvement and does a fantastic job of putting together activities and community service events. Because the university is located in a small town, there is not much to do. Therefore, Lincoln Memorial University is super engaged in student life to give students a fun college experience. Another thing I really like about Lincoln Memorial University is that they include the community in events too. For example, the university will hold concerts as a fun, creative, and affordable way for funding. Lincoln Memorial University also has a wide range of sports and curriculars for its students. Freshman: I love the faculty and staff there! They have helped me so much financially, academically, informatively...the list goes on. I have been a proud student at my college since day one. I am still receiving a great education, and I love my classes. The classes that I am taking are definitely helping me with my major and also helping me realize what I want to do in the future in college. I could not be any more grateful to be a member at my college. I feel accepted there. I feel welcome and not as an outcast anywhere in the institution. I am very happy with my decision for choosing Volunteer State Community College, and I am very happy for how great my first year as a Freshman has gone. If I had any other choice to go to another community college, I would still choose Volunteer State Community College. Not only is it easily accessible for me, but it is also very close to home, which is a huge plus when you cannot quite drive on your own yet. I am very fortunate they have my major as well.... Graduate Student: I could say a multitude of wonderful things about Chattanooga State Community College, but if I had to choose one thing to share, it would be how amazing the staff is. Chatt State's staff goes above and beyond to ensure every student’s needs are met; whether physical, emotional, or mental. From the lunch ladies, janitors, and security team, to the ladies in the bursar's office, professors, and presidential staff. Because Chattanooga State is a two-year community college, I would like to see more opportunities for students to practice skills in the environment of their field/major. Other schools may have higher academic scores or even a more "exciting" athletic department, but no one else could possibly have a greater staff. These workers put everything into making sure students have all the tools they need to continue on to higher education or head straight into the workforce. What more could you ask for? Freshman: I am returning to school after graduating from high school 11 years earlier. It has been very intimidating. The staff, including my advisor and professors, have been very helpful in my transition at this new stage of my life. It has been greatly appreciated. I know I will have more questions and run into problems along the way that I will not know my way around but feel very comfortable going to the staff with questions.
