Sophomore: Kansas State University couldn't be more perfect for me and for what I'm majoring in. They have so many resources for students for all kinds of situations including research opportunities, on-campus jobs, tutoring, financial assistance and so much more. All of the instructors that I've had have been very open about expectations and how to succeed, and there are many advisors, instructors, etc, that you can reach out to when needing assistance or information. Sophomore: Independence Community College is a very small town college experience. The College is small, the town is small, you basically only have Walmart as your place to shop. However, it's the community that makes the town. The community offers lots to do if you know how to look for it. There is Pennsylvania Ave, where they hold the annual NEEWOLLAH Halloween event for a full week. There is also The Hub which is a Church program held in a movie theater, they offer lots of community opportunities and events to attend. The academic advisors and student academic programs are very on it when it comes to offering students help with scholarship opportunities and making sure you're signing up for the right classes and graduating. Sophomore: My first year at Butler was amazing! I met two of my bestest friends on only the first day of school! The teachers are also great. My public speaking class, which I was nervous for, turned out to be my favorite class of my whole first year! My biology professor made everything easy to understand and related the topics to our lives so we would better understand. I was also lucky enough to have the same teacher for two different classes which was really helpful since I already knew how she ran everything. The environment is small yet welcoming which makes it very easy to talk to people even as an introvert. I have also attended multiple sporting events which had high energy throughout the whole game! Alum: I cannot speak highly enough about WSU Tech. I met all my favorite teachers there in the Information Technology program. Great opportunities for students including those in high school. You can start college programs through WSU Tech as early as your Sophomore year in high school. I started my Sophomore year and graduated from the IT program my Senior year. WSU Tech offers amazing classes and programs in Aviation, Healthcare, Construction, Manufacturing, Information Technology, and everything in between across its two campuses. Sophomore: Ive been a student at Barton County Community College on and off for the past handful of years, and am currently a full time student in the Paramedic Program. BCCC has always being incredibly accommodating to me as a student. Particularly, the financial aid department has gone above and beyond to help me make sure everything financial is in order. Especially notable is one of the financial aid ladies bending over backwards, when I lost track of a particular scholarship, in order to make sure I had the help and coverage I needed. On multiple occasions, my teachers and instructors have helped me through class, especially when dealing with personal issues and complications. All staff encounters have been phenomenal, and they truly embody caring about their students. BCCC offers an extensive variety of classes, both in-class and online. Sophomore: So far, I've had a great experience attending this college. The environment was nice, and I had the opportunity to attend all of my classes that were on campus with no problems. This college also allowed me to attend classes in the evenings and online. I liked that because I work during the day, and they could adjust my class to my work schedule. I also like the variety of career paths that DC3 offers, and it expands opportunities for each of the students attending here.
