Freshman: So far though I have only been here minimally, a month and a half, my experience has been decent. My classes and professors are excellent and I have only had a few problems with the books store which professors have been understanding of. Professors are understanding and will listen if you have a valid issue that requires accommodations. My largest issue has been the lack of standardization amongst facilities. The older facilities are crumbling apart and unsafe, while the newer buildings are fantastic. This is specifically true with the residence halls. Some of the halls are desirable and excellent quality while others are unsafe. The difference is students must pay more for quality which is unfair. Students who come from lower-income families and situations shouldn't be forced to live in less satisfactory conditions. Otherwise, I have been enjoying myself. Alum: North Dakota State University was some of the best experiences I have had in my life. This includes academics such as internships as well as extracurriculars. There was always something going on during the week and on the weekends to get you involved in the NDSU community or the Fargo community at large. When I got in to my major, my classes became more focused and smaller so that I was better able to focus and be more comfortable in class. Some of the larger class sizes did not make it easy for me to ask questions in class. My overall experience at NDSU was great. I spent a lot of time on campus doing homework in the various spaces available. My one request is tunnels or skywalks for the brutal North Dakota winters... Freshman: I really like my experience at WSC so far! The school is very nice and clean. There are always activities that goes on at campus that involve the students. This is a great school to be a student athlete at because of how seriously sports are taken here. WSC is a great place to start if you are looking to transfer onto a four year and even better if you are planning on graduating with an associates degree. There are many things that you can be apart of. Everyone including, professors and staff are all so nice and make the college experience a lot more enjoyable. If I could change something about WSC, I would make the campus food more enjoyable and have more options for the students. Freshman: Lake Region State College has a moto of changing lives. They are 100 percent true to that statement as I have only been here for a small number of weeks, my life is already improved. The small class sizes makes the environment outstandingly comforting as an incoming freshman. This school does not fail to make you feel cared for and taken care of. This is the type of school where teachers remember your name after the first day and say hello in the hallways. I am the type of student that requires one on one attention to be able to complete the task given to me and this is exactly what I am receiving at Lake Region. I am apart of the softball team as well and it is nothing less than a family. The coaching staff resembles a parental figure. Freshman: I really like Dakota College at Bottineau. The staff are very friendly and are willing to help when you need assistance. In my previous class, I needed tech support and they were ready and willing to help me solve my technical problem. The instructors were there to help me with any questions I had and even made up some practice sheets for a class I was in for extra practice. I did all online classes. The only issue I had was I wish there were video lectures to help me understand what concepts I needed to learn.
