Freshman: The connection between student and teacher is great. There is scheduled office hours so that students can ask questions in person outside of the classroom. They all answer emails in a timely manner. There are many places on campus to study including a tutoring center, library, and student lounge. The courses are very easy to navigate and submit work. Freshman: When I was considering going back to school, I looked at several options. I hadn’t been to school in years, and had no idea how to get started, or how I would pay for school. I felt overwhelmed. I called HJC on the recommendation from a couple of coworkers and my boss. They were so helpful and friendly. Paige helped me get registered and signed up for classes. Darlene helped me with the financial aid process. They made it all so easy and had me ready to go immediately! They really give you individualized attention and treat you like family. My professors have been great! I have really enjoyed my classes and learned a lot. The smaller class size is great. You get individualized attention.
