Alum: Canisius was great for the most part! I would say I had a great experience there, but it is a very average school. Your experience really is what you make of it. If you want to get involved and do things, you're going to have a great time. If you don't get out there, it's going to be very boring. Thankfully, there is lots of opportunity. The class offerings are pretty run of the mill. I enjoyed mine a lot, but there wasn't anything super cutting edge or unique. There is a lot of opportunity to travel through clubs, sports, volunteering, and study abroad options. There is always free stuff on campus which is awesome. The food is subpar, but has gotten a LOT better since my first year. The diversity is getting better, but isn't great. The alumni network is strong and Canisius really tries to take care of its people. The dorms are AMAZING in comparison to some of my friends at schools for 100k/yr. Parties are meh. Freshman: NU is amazing, the staff are wonderful and helpful and the university is so clean and well maintained. I get so happy everytime I go there. The education curriculum is easy to grasp and so far, all of my experiences with NU have been absolutely amazing. I feel like we are all a family there, everyone is kind to each other and NU is not just a university, but it's like a little community that respects and understands each other. Freshman: I am enjoying Medaille college (Medaille University) I just finished my first semester and I really enjoyed all my classes and I live on campus and i also enjoy the dorm room. you are assigned 1 roommate and you sleep in the same room with different beds and the only other room is a bathroom but the room is decently big so we get by. I personally enjoy it. as far as my classes they are less difficult than high school but I also feel like I comprehend more than in high school I firmly believe that Medaille college is a great college! Its known for being a very good vet tech school but I am going for actuarial science and its still got a good mathematics program even being specialized in vet tech. the food is decent, its not the best but i eat there everyday and it doesn't really upset me ever so.... Senior: I genuinely love Hilbert and I am going to be very sad when I graduate next May. All of the professors I have had are very hands-on and work well with their students. They are always reachable via email - some faster than others - yet they all are reachable nonetheless. One thing I wish was different is that there be more class options or more specific majors for individuals who are pursuing a specific degree. I have never truly had any issues at this college in regard to my academics. Freshman: This college is good for people looking to save money but still get all of the required classes done so they can succeed with their full potential at other colleges. Overall the college remains clean and there are great people to connect with if you can approach and talk with people. The food is ok in the cafeteria but i would recommend against it most of the time unless you are trying to stay on campus. The classes are small most of the time and are better if you go in person rather than online learning, the online learning feels disconnected and is not easy to get things fixed in a timely manner when you run into issues online. In person the professors are really nice and easy to get along with while helping you reach your goals. Overall the environment at the north campus is great except for the outdated areas of the campus with a lot of construction going on most of the time so they can get everything updated.
