Sophomore: Belhaven University has one of the most unique communities that I have ever seen on a college campus. The professors care about their students and strive to know their students personally so that they are able to support them in their studies. The student body is equally wonderful if you decide to dive into it. Students are excited about getting to know and serve those around them. As a Christian school, many of the students are of the same religion and continue to do their best to show others the love of Christ. I have grown not only in my knowledge of my degree fields but also in my relationship with God and as a person. I cannot imagine going to another school. Junior: My college experience here at Mississippi College has been a rollercoaster of growth. My first step onto campus was delightful, and I knew I belonged in an atmosphere like the one Mississippi College offers. God-fearing welcomes you and eventually, it becomes a sort of natural response. Mississippi College is founded on honesty with others and yourself! You will become accustomed to this beautiful way of life and feel transformed on behalf of God and the universities mission. I believe Mississippi College is a choice that would be hard to regret. Sophomore: I love William Carey University. I have been to three different colleges and can honestly say that there is a difference in the professors and faculty. They love to see their students succeed and cater to our needs quickly. The traditions campus is beautiful and offers multiple commodities like study rooms, library, and a student lounge. The professors are amazing and down to earth. Very willing to help their students and are quick with their responses. I am a BSN RN nursing major and I cannot stress how helpful the class size is compared to a larger university. Freshman: I love how small the college is. Every professor knows each student by their name and is determined to ensure their success. Freshman: The University of Mississippi, also called Ole Miss, has been an amazing experience for me so far. I've only been in the university for about two months, and in that short period of time, I've been able to do many things. I especially love the very high quality of the professors. They've exceeded every single one of my expectations, and I really enjoy attending their classes! I've also had a really great experience with the International Student & Scholar Services; they're staff has worked hard to ensure that I get everything I need as an international student. The campus is really beautiful, and everything seems to blend in pretty well. There's also a great sports scene if you're into that! Of course, there are some things that could use some work, such as the quality of housing and the variety of food options offered on campus. Senior: There are many things I love about southern miss! My personal favorite is the setup of campus - I'm a very directionally challenged individual, and even I could navigate the campus after a short time. The campus offers a variety of places to eat, study, and participate in extracurricular events. My favorite places are the Payne recreation center and the Cook Library. Of course, there are some downsides. I disliked the credit hour cap each semester - why can I take 19 credit hours but not 20? Why do intercession courses count toward the full session? While that has yet (and, hopefully, never will) affected my degree progress, I have had several friends and classmates who took a long time to graduate because they were only allowed to take up to 6 classes a semester. Freshman: I have just been enrolled in Itawamba Community College. I recently attended the class of 2025 orientation, and it was perfection. There are three different campus' and I attended orientation at the largest location. The campus offers various clubs and extracurricular activities as well as programs encouraging successful learning. I was anxious to attend college knowing that this is my career I am pursuing, and my life depends on my performance at ICC. I was pleased to see the involvement of helpful staff during this event. Before orientation, I had questions regarding the requirements for enrollment and every member of staff gave immediate response that instantly resolved my confusion. If I could change one thing, it would be for the other location I will be attending to offer the same involvement and activities. Sophomore: Millsaps is a great place to go to school! People can complain about lots of things, but you can do that for any institution no matter where you go to school. The community and social life is wonderful, it’s really easy to make friends and be liked. It is a fun place to go to school everyday, and Millsaps has a beautiful campus to accompany that. To be realistic, the biggest struggles Millsaps faces is the Jackson area, and the campus infrastructure. However, I have heard that in terms of the infrastructure, many issues should be resolved and renovated soon! Sophomore: I feel very safe on campus. It is a small campus but all staff is very helpful. The school doesn’t take Federal Loans so it is expensive and I’m struggling to find ways to pay.
