Alum: UGA is definitely a large, State University which was a fit for me since I was unsure as to what career path I was initially interested in. So many choices! But it gets much smaller and intimate over time as you get through the core classes and begin to specialize. I joined a fraternity while I was there, but you certainly don't need to be a part of Greek life to find a multitude of social opportunities. It's very easy to make friends at UGA. The sports are amazing and the academics continue to strengthen as the years go by. There really aren't any obvious weaknesses to discuss. The only thing I will say is that the number of students is stressing the available infrastructure in terms of parking and housing. If UGA will focus on increasing the number of dorm rooms and parking spaces then it would help a lot. Graduate Student: At Mercer, I really enjoyed the small class sizes and each of my professors. Most of my professors were very easy to get along with, and really wanted to see each student succeed in the class. I also enjoyed the scenery and historic aspect Mercer's campus provides. Freshman: I have really enjoyed my time at Covenant College. One of Covenant's strengths is its emphasis on relationships, whether that's with one's hall, one's orientation group, or anything else. Graduate Student: I attended a private school growing up, so I loved how small Shorter was! If you are looking for a school that’s a small campus where everything is within walking distance then this is a good option! I also loved how your department becomes like your family. I was a music major, so we were all in the same classes and were able to help each other out when needed. The professors want you to succeed and they are willing to help if you ask for it. Shorter is also a Christian college associated with the Baptist Convention so keep that in mind if you have other beliefs or are associated with a different denomination. Sophomore: Clark Atlanta University has a lot of job and business opportunities. If you aren't careful it's easy to be part of the wrong crowd, but when you meet the right people , it's lovely. I love the AUC Bible study communities around campus, because they are so raw and authentic. They don't shove weed or alcohol in your face and push your problems to the back burner, but will actually sit down and have a genuine conversation with you if something is wrong. I love that! It's the home of determined and goal driven women and to add-on it's been the number one HBCU for 16 consecutive years. When I first arrived at Spelman, I will never forget how comfortable everyone made me feel. It is truly a huge sisterhood. Spelman is very welcoming and there is a place for everyone here. In addition, there are lots of clubs here at Spelman such as Glee Club, P.U.L.S.E and Spelman Ambassador and so much more. Junior: I have been an online student for almost three years now. I began my late 40s which made the initial process intimidating but my admissions counselor far exceeded his responsibilities to patiently help me with anything I needed. Moreover, I can say the same thing about other departments such as the business office and financial aid. The courses have helped me tremendously and I could not have matured in my calling the same way without them. The professors are thorough and competent, but also very caring. Alum: Wesleyan College is very diverse. I experience global diversity through cultural celebrations and milestones of others. The institution has intimate class sizes. Wesleyan is an liberal arts college, therefore it really challenges your thought process in comparison to a larger university. The environment is very open and relaxed. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and supportive. The pro's are that you want to participate in so many things because they have great programs. Alum: I just recently graduated with a Masters in Biblical Counseling. The program has had a great impact on the ministry God has called me to! I am a Pastor of a mid sized church. I have only positive things to say about the whole experience. In fact, I have just enrolled to continue on towards the M.Div. I am very excited and looking forward to it. If you are looking for a quality Seminary that IS accredited, this school is an excellent option. The experiences I've had with non-accredited seminaries have not been good. I read some negative comments here about diversity, I didn't find that to be true. Thier staff respected the spectrum fairly.
