Sophomore: I have been at the University of Utah for over a year, and I can confidently say I have made the right decision to study here. I am currently studying at the David Eccles School of Business and have the opportunity to travel to Dubai, Amsterdam, Canada, and more! The University of Utah offers many global learning-abroad opportunities. Broadening my view and knowledge of other cultures has helped me better grasp business and life in other countries. The professors I have interacted with so far have been extrmeley great at the topics they are covering. They all genuinely show passion for what they are teaching and emphasis how much they care about your education.The University of Utah has a beautiful campus on the eastern side of Salt Lake City. The campus is located 10 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the mountains and ski resorts. The campus has beautiful buildings and is located on a hill overlooking the city. Junior: Brigham Young University has an outstanding uplifting atmosphere that I love! The professors are caring and understanding, and overall amazing at helping students reach their academic goals. The campus itself is gorgeous--making time in between classes a delight. One of my favorite things about BYU is their first year student mentoring experience. Each and every freshman is assigned to a mentor that they meet with throughout their first couple semesters. The mentors are also students so it is very nice to have some sense of camaraderie. What I also love about BYU is that everyone is friendly. Whenever I needed help a kind soul was there with a smile. Prayers before classes start and the devotionals each week really invite the spirit which only enhances my learning. Freshman: There are so many things I love about USU! One of the main aspects that captivates me is the campus. However, it's not just the pretty surroundings that make Utah State University exceptional. The staff's friendliness and efficiency have left a great impression on me. Alum: Great school overall. Some amazing professors. Lots a scholarship opportunities and seriously one of the best Presidents you can have at a university. It does feel more like a commuter school. You don’t quite get the big university feel which can be a pro or a con for an individual. I was a transfer student and did enjoy my previous university more. At UVU I did appreciate the hybrid model I was able to utilize because life happens and sometimes you need to go to school online. I would highly recommend this university for their programs but also if you want to get you generals out of the way. It was a great stepping stone university for those also wanting to start here with because of the open enrollment then transfer else where. My only complaint is that there wasn’t a lot of school spirit and not a lot of major activities like dances or parties compared to what other public institutions in the state had. Freshman: Right now I'm studying through the Automotive Program that SLCCtech provides. First of all, the amount I was charged with is way cheaper than I imagined plus it lasts for 9 months!? I'm really glad I went through SLCC first, rather than starting off at UVU or Weber, because it will definitely save me a lot of money! Second, SLCC has so many opportunities and resources to let their students succeed and thrive! You just have to look in the right places, I guess haha. Or of course,you can ask your advisor about them! My current professor has mentioned there was a scholarship that will help pay for rent and if SLCC could get any cooler, it just did. I feel like there's only one "bad thing" about SLCC which is, I wish they had dorms. It'd be so much nicer for people who live so far away from their campuses. Anyways, all good reviews for SLCC from me, I like it so much here that I honestly want to go to SLCC for other classes just for fun. Even if it doesn't pertain to my career/degree.... Sophomore: Snow College was the perfect place to start my secondary education! This school helped me harness my interests and focus on my education together. There would always be something happening on campus because of the lack thereof in the surrounding town. Freshman: The community is small and inclusive, there are always events going on and ways to be included to meet new people! I’ve been living in the dorms and it has been a great experience. The food is very good for the most part and after scholarships (which most everyone gets) I have found it affordable with a simple job! Amazing classes here. All the teachers know you personally by the end of the class and are very kind when you are struggling. It feels like I’m at home here plus you get a scholarship for just being some programs like the art or music program. You also get a scholarship for returning each year. I’m hoping to finish my bachelors in 3 years since most my high school credits transfered. The best part is you are right in the middle of sugar house with a part right across the street and everything within minutes from you. Freshman: I've been a student at BYU-Pathway Worldwide and my experience i really like about it is the flexibility it offers. The online format allows me to balance my studies with other commitments, making it accessible for people with busy schedules. The support from instructors and advisors has been helpful too. They are responsive and genuinely care about the success of the students. The PathwayConnect program, in particular, provides a solid foundation for higher education and career advancement. However, there are a few areas I'd like to see improvement in. One is the course variety; while they offer a good range of programs, expanding the selection would benefit students with more specific career goals. Additionally, more scholarship opportunities would be greatly appreciated to make education more affordable.
