Junior: I applied at friends university with out knowing where it was but when I went for a visit I immediately fell in love with the campus. The old-timey feel, the beautiful buildings, and the great living areas helped me make my decision to commit to continue my athletic and academic career at Friends University. I also loved the staff I met and the available courses I was able to enroll in to receive my accounting degree. Freshman: Wichita State University is a great start for someone who is looking for a college and lives around the Wichita area. I grew up in Wichita and have always had a hard time fitting in. But at Wichita State University, I feel like there are many places where I could connect with others who share similar interests. I plan to finish my degree with Wichita State University and look for more opportunities that are made easily accessible by the university. However, my problem with WSU is the surrounding area and it does not have many sports. WSU feels limited in the freedom of students because Wichita surrounds it. This makes it harder to experience "college life", especially when I have grown up here. Also, I know there are complications with sports here, but I believe that we can bring back an amazing football and basketball team that can compete in college sports leagues. Senior: As a transfer student to Bethel College, I was shocked to experience such a culture of support and community that I was greeted with upon my arrival on campus. The positivity and school pride that engulfs the atmosphere at any campus event whether its an athletic event, musical, or even convocation every Monday is unmatched. I made the right decision by going to Bethel College, because it feels great to be surrounded by staff and other students that value you as a person and want to see you succeed.
