Alum: The professors seemed to care deeply about their students' individual success; this is why I believe the very small average class size is so appealing. The campus is gorgeous and fosters creativity, tranquility, and a strong urge to cultivate one's higher will and gain a deeper understanding of the beautiful spot in time and space that we find ourselves. The coaches are all tremendous motivators, so they really arouse the desire to strive for balance and to be well-rounded in the physical in addition to the obvious mental that comes along with attending the prestigious Trinity University! My mindset was transformed at Trinity, and I learned from the genius professors, outstanding coaches, and my based colleagues that peace, purpose, and fulfillment does not involve hedonism nor a self-serving agenda. Freshman: This university is a great place for diversity and offers a wide variety of courses. While it’s certainly not a party school, the school has an amazing social climate for those who are more lowkey with their social interactions. They do a lot of diversity and inclusion training, and treat their freshmen class really well. The faculty and staff are extremely welcoming and nice, I have not had a bad experience with them yet! The professors are mostly very friendly and recognize hard work, and their courses are very informative and thorough. The campus is also very compact, so getting from class to class is not a hassle at all, especially if you’re scheduled back to back. The only cons I can see is the high monetary pricing of the school (as most private colleges) and the fact that the campus VA program does not communicate with the on base VA, so you’re basically setting up your benefits without a lot of help, and it also leads to a lot of misscommunication.... Sophomore: I enrolled into San Antonio College as a new start to a new city. I gained my prerequisites prior to transferring, and enjoyed all of the instructors who have taught me thus far. The classes are small which allowed me to build relationships with my teachers, and they are very community forward. Niche User: Northwest Vista is an incredible college with a beautiful campus. There are some really incredible professors employed at Northwest Vista College. In particular, Robert DiGiovanni was an excellent professor who made himself available by phone via call or text! He had excellent pre-recorded videos prior (many years prior) to covid. His methodologies of working through problems were superb. I think that he is reflective of most of the professors I had at Northwest Vista College. The great thing about Northwest Vista college is that it is one of five other 2 year universities within the Alamo Colleges umbrella. This means that you have a massive selection of professors, as well as online options. The prices of courses within the Alamo Colleges system are outstanding. Freshman: It is very diverse and has a great community which I feel comfortable with. The teachers are very helpful and always available when needed. Student life is also always present; overall, the school is perfect for people starting their education. Multiple schools and community events help students get closer to school life and its surrounding areas. The campus is always clean and organized which gives it a beautiful status. It is very open on the outside which gives students a great place to study while being surrounded by trees, bird noises, and fresh air. The classrooms are also always spacious and organized, making learning easier. The campus also has multiple programs that get their places around campus. For example, cosmetology has its studio area and Veterinary Technology has its own building with kennels and surgical equipment so that students can hands-on know what they will be working with the real life. Freshman: There’s many thing to love to about St. Philip’s College! From the people, experience, studies, student life, and outside of St. Philip’s Campus. There is many people from many cultures and places that is meant to be for everyone. The studies aren’t as wide but are for those who need a degree in a year or two to work. Including the great opportunities like CNA, Cyber security, and mechanic jobs. Including possible certification after the degree plan. The student life page and alerts provide great details about events that will take place in campus, zoom, and other opportunities for college or jobs. My most favorite event is culture feast which is full of foods, people from the college or around town, and can be a called a small San Antonio experience in one place. Senior: Our Lady of the Lake University is a beautiful campus with amazing school programs and clubs. I get to attend school in a castle! The only issues would be that some of the buildings are rundown and unusable until they are fixed and the money has been put towards making the campus look pretty rather than fortifying the foundations of some of the buildings. Once those buildings are fixed up, there will be more space for classrooms and activities than there currently is. People are complaining about lack of space when really, just fix up the messed up buildings and you have all the space you want. Other than that, OLLU is a hidden gem that needs more attention....
