Senior: Rivier University is great if you want small class sizes and a small campus environment and community. All of my classes have been less than 30 students, and most were 15 or less. As a part of the biotechnology program, I have reaped the benefits of a brand-new science building and lab spaces. There is also a brand-new business and nursing building opening in fall 2022 as well as new dorms being added to campus. If you want a school with small class sizes where you know everyone who lives in your hallway and seeing friendly faces every time you walk to class, Riv is for you! Senior: I absolutely love Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU)! As a full-time marketing major and sophomore, the online coursework perfectly fits my schedule, allowing me to manage my job alongside my studies. SNHU is undoubtedly one of the top online universities in the US. The courses are manageable, engaging, and up-to-date, offering practical application and real-world scenarios. The professors are knowledgeable and supportive, creating an enriching learning environment. The support services, including advisors and career counseling, are outstanding. SNHU also offers great networking opportunities, which have been beneficial for connecting with peers and professionals in the industry. If I could change one thing, it would be to give students the option to select the textbook curriculum used in their course. Graduate Student: This is the review I wish I saw! CSC is a good school. The academics are rigorous, and the professors truly care about the students. The business faculty are great and prepare students for the real world. I made great friends and had lots of fun during my time. I liked it enough I'm coming back for my MBA. The problem is funding only goes to the nursing program. The school also doesn't allow off campus housing but does have a few on-campus houses where students attempt to throw parties, but they are always quickly shut down by campus safety unless the houses come up with elaborate plans to hide the party from the outside which they do very well. The school also does not allocate funds to the club hockey and rugby team which is causing the programs to die out. Overall CSC is what you make of it and the people on campus are great but drama does go around fast! But dorms are lacking and don't expect a large party school because CSC isn't that. Sophomore: I transferred to KSC from another NH public college and have enjoyed Keene so much more. The people are so friendly, it's easy to get involved on campus, everyone is extremely welcoming and the community here is incredible. Campus is gorgeous especially in the spring and they just announced a ton of new renovations coming for next fall. The dorms are pretty average but some are really nice (Butler, LLC). I've enjoyed all the classes I've taken and met some great profs. The only bad thing I think is the food but there are options at Lloyd's and the Hoot and Scoot that are better and overall a good variety if you don't like the dining commons food. Sophomore: I really love Plymouth State University, it truly is a home away from home! I met many great people and new lifelong friends, especially my amazing roommate! I was initially very nervous about going to a new place, especially a college, but living on campus is a fantastic experience. One I'll truly never forget, there are many great activities to participate in such as the hammocking club. SOAR (outdoor activities), PSU gaming club, intermural sports, Esports, and so much more! Not to mention their fitness facilities are state of the art along with a robotics lab is getting put in! Plymouth State truly is a fantastic place, especially within the Criminal Justice and Forensic. The only thing that would be nice to change is the parking situation since Plymouth is remote, parking is very difficult at times. Sophomore: I like the fact that Franklin Pierce is a small community. It feels safer and more comforting to be in a small community with familiar faces and as an introvert it is easier for me to make friends because I often have the same people in my classes and usually am aware of almost everyone in my year. It is a quiet location and you become very familiar with your professors, making it easier to talk to them about anything. However, I dislike the food that is served on campus. They often repeat food items that are being served throughout the week, the soda machines sometimes do not work and I often generally do not like the taste of most of the food for reasons like strange seasoning choices or vegetables/sides being undercooked. Also, due to the lake we have on campus, our water is yellow and smells/tastes like metal. Sophomore: The adminissions department made the process so easy for me. They actually reached out on my behalf to a community college I attended that I couldn't even get ahold of to transfer any credits. Because of my military background, they also informed me I was sitting on credits I had no idea I even had! My advisor calls me every other week to see how I am doing. If you're not the best with technology, I could see why it could be frustrating pursuing a degree online. Their interface has improved a lot in the last year, also. All my instructors so far have been accessible, sometimes things get lost in translation with teachers via e-mail, but that seems typical of any work/school situation.
