Senior: I loved my experience with the University of Alabama at Birmingham so far! The campus is exhilarating, especially because it stretches over several blocks of Birmingham. There are "blue lights" on every block, making it a pretty safe campus. The dorms are nice, and so is the recreation center. The cafeteria always has good food, but there's also tons of restaurants around the city to choose from! This campus is probably the best in Alabama for diversity within the students. Senior: My time at the University of Alabama from 2020 to 2024 was an absolute whirlwind in the best possible way. Coming from Las Vegas, Nevada, it was a complete change of scenery, first off, being a part of Greek life was a huge part of my experience. The connections I made through my sorority were incredible. But it wasn't just about Greek life; the campus itself had this electric energy. Football Saturdays were a whole different level of excitement. The buzz around Bryant-Denny Stadium was infectious, and it's an experience I'll never forget. The culture around the football games was insane—I never imagined I'd be so into it, but Roll Tide became a part of my vocabulary pretty quickly! Leaving Las Vegas for Alabama was a big shift, but it was exactly what I needed. That mix of Southern charm and the vibrant college scene gave me experiences I wouldn't trade for anything. Other: I was just accepted to attend Samford, December 1st, and I am overly excited, as this is my 1st and top choice of schools. I am a Christian and the college represented everything I'm looking for in a college. The college is only 2 hours away from my primary home, which is great! I was very happy to learn about the fast track program the college offers, meaning I can get my masters degree in 5 years.
