Alum: The campus at CSUS is gorgeous. So many beautiful trees and lush nature to get lost in and relax from the stress of studying. The theatre program is by far one of most prestigious programs in California. The professors teach with such detail that it's hard NOT to pay attention. I left with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts and I could not be happier with the level of education, student involvement and community I experienced while attending. Junior: I'm an online student, but even though I'm not on campus, I feel very much a part of the school. It's about a two hour drive, so I was able to go and visit and attend some events on campus and felt so comfortable and welcome there. The professors are very available and present in the online forum and are ready to answer questions and just pray over each individual. The success coach is awesome and I feel so supported, encouraged and lifted up. The education received is at such a high standard as well and I feel ready to go into my career with the tools and skills I need. Sophomore: I think that Sierra College as a Community College is absolutely great. The work load is 100% comparable to a 4 year, and the professors are actually pretty great! I will say that the campus itself is always under construction but that is because they are simply trying to update the looks of everything. The college itself is quite old but the efforts in making the scenery and the overall energy better is quite nice! Sophomore: The resources at American River College are pretty good. The transfer pathway from here to UC is well planned, and you can transfer to most UCs with little to no issues. They have the Beaver Cares program which gives food to its students! In addition they have plenty of employment opportunities for students which help them to gain some upward mobility. Safety wise the campus could be better, because bikes often get stolen here and there are some crimes that happen here sparingly. Sophomore: I have only attended Folsom Lake College online due to Covid-19. Still, my experience has been amazing! The professors have worked very hard to help make the online environment as close to an in-person class as possible. They are always there to answer questions and always ready to make assignments as easy to understand and complete as possible. The professors have helped motivate me to work as hard as I would if I had to meet with the class fac-to-face. They do this by commenting on posts and encouraging you to press on even when you don't do so well on an assignment. It feels like they really want to help. Classes are so much better when professors are hyped and excited to teach, and especially when they actually care about your success in the course.
