Senior: I consider myself blessed to be able to attend this school. The years I have spent here have taught me so much and have led me to my bestest friends. I love the inclusivity that the staff exuded and the willingness to help as much as possible. As a nursing major, my academic are incredibly important and their constant support truly made me feel heard. I would, however, like to change the scholarship opportunities they provide. The highest merit scholarship barely covers half of the tuition to attend. Senior: Nazareth is my home away from home. Located in the beautiful Pittsford neighborhood of Rochester NY, Nazareth sports one of the most gorgeous campuses I’ve ever seen. You are surrounded by quaint, scholarly buildings, there’s a great fountain central to the campus, and you get all four seasons. The academics are good considering the scope and size of the campus. It is truly a liberal arts education, if that’s what you’d like. I have a major in data science with minors in math, psychology, and philosophy. I have only had an okay experience with a few professors, most are willing to meet with you often, are very personal, and create close professional relationships with their students. While not a research school, I have found a way to do some research projects through getting close with my professors, and this helped my successfully land an NSF funded REU at a D1 research school! Sophomore: One thing I love about SUNY Brockport is the environment, everyone on this campus is extremely welcoming and when I walk through this campus I feel safe even at night. Another thing I love about this campus is the communication. The professors here are extremely quick and thorough with their responses whether it be through email or in person. A change I would like to see is parking, it is challenging, especially during the winter as a full time college student working part time having to park so far away from the building I am residing in. The parking passes here are usually sold out and you have to be put on a waiting list until they fully clear out all the old passes which usually takes months. Senior: I absolutely love RIT! Although primarily a tech school, there are so many unique people and personalities that attend, proving that everybody will find their people here, no matter who you are. Additionally, there are so many programs to choose from, and many have notable alum within the department. For example, our College of Art and Design is best known for their successful photography programs and film and animation. There are so many ways to get involved in clubs and organizations! From athletics to greek life, gaming clubs, and many more. There is something for everybody. Also, RIT's co-op program makes it one of the best options for students who are career-driven. Having the opportunity to partake in 2 (or more) paid internships while still in college helps pave the way for the future and helps them put their best foot forward when looking for a job post-grad. Senior: I am currently in my fourth and final year at Roberts. In terms of academics, it is a small school, so you really get to know the professors. It is easy to meet with them one-on-one to help with any struggles. In terms of social life, I feel like there is always some event going on that students can get involved with. There are also a ton of groups that students can join in leadership roles to help put these events on. Sometimes these positions may come with a small scholarship! The people at Roberts are really the best part of the school. I've met some of my best friends here and have made hundreds of other connections with others across campus. In terms of faith, I can confidently say that I learned a lot more about Christ and have significantly built upon my faith since entering Roberts. The chapels, classes, and surrounding myself with believers were all beneficial. Overall, Roberts gave me the best experience I could have asked for. I would highly recommend the school to others!... Freshman: FLCC has excellent staff that care about your success. From admissions onward, they are passionate. Professors try and make courses engaging and affordable, often selecting less expensive texts for students to reference. The facilities offer plenty of engagement and enrichment for the student experience. A large library with attached tutoring center. A performing arts center that sees international award winning singers performing during the summer months. A well put together fitness center with open hours to attend before, between, or after classes. The food in the cafe is well made.
