Junior: This year I am a transfer student from a community college so it's been almost my first full week at South Alabama! My experience so far has been nothing but pure fulfillment. My professors have been awesome at working with me and I love all my classes I'm taking. As of right now I am declared as a nursing major and I've already joined study groups with my new friends. The people here are so kind and welcoming that within the first day of meeting my roommates and their friends, they wanted to recruit me to the lacrosse team. I feel right at home at this school and that homey feeling is very important for me, as it is my first time being away from my family. I can't wait to get even more involved in my new school.... Junior: The professors here at UM are amazing! The class sizes are small so professors get to know their students on a personal basis. They genuinely want to see each of their students succeed. As a student-athlete, professors also work with me whenever I have to miss class for games. The university is amazing at getting students plugged in and equipping students with what they need to succeed. We have many study resources and even have a peer review center where papers can be proofread. There are always events happening on campus for students to meet other students.
