Graduate Student: At Mercer, I really enjoyed the small class sizes and each of my professors. Most of my professors were very easy to get along with, and really wanted to see each student succeed in the class. I also enjoyed the scenery and historic aspect Mercer's campus provides. As for changes, I would like to see more/updated living spaces as well as additional parking lots placed throughout the school. Freshman: As an online student, my expierience has been pretty straightfoward! The classes are easy as long as you have good time management and the professors say no makeup work but they usually end up letting you fic your grade by the end of the semester anyways. Sophomore: I started school at Lanier Technical College in the fall of 2019. I was very impressed with the admissions process and registering for classes was very easy! I had no troubles with holds and was able to contact the registrar/admissions office with any questions I had. So far, all of the professors I've had were fantastic! Even when we went online during covid, they all communicated effectively and made the transition to online learning seamless. The best part about this college is how affordable it is! Junior: I’ve been to southern crescent a few times however this time I’ve had the best experience. I believe that’s because of the revamping and the new staff. The financial aid process was super smooth, counselors are available, and each of my professors communication has been beyond excellent. The organization and growth of the school/ campus over all has been amazing to watch. They host events and activities for the students that keep us engaged and the time frame in which they inform us is perfect! we know things at least a week or 2 maybe even a month in advance and the event dates are always sent via email with reminders. My favorite thing thus far is the final grade posting.!! The past few semesters the grades have gone in immediately there’s no more than 2days max wait for final grades! All students know the anxiety of final grade postings so 2 days wait is great . If you are interested in starting a new career apply for SCTC it’s worth it, Fall is around the corner!... Sophomore: The best thing about UNG is the campus size and how it influences community building and growth amongst students and staff! While the campus may be on the smaller side, there is such a large community of support that is so willing to help you figure out the best plan for you currently and in the future. Every opportunity on campus is a great way to get involved and make valuable connections, which is something I didn't know I needed until I came to UNG. My only concern is housing on campus since it is so competitive and not all of the dorms are created equal in terms of quality. Freshman: It’s a very small community so you get to know everyone & gain relations with people you’ll grow to love. The housing is great besides the strictness on having parties, or gatherings. Freshman: Ogeechee Tech College seems like a nice college campus with friendly and helpful staff members. I plan on attending there for this coming Summer semester so i am more than excited for that! The area around the college seems a little depressing and gloomy but hopefully i will like it once i start. The only thing i do not really care for is the layout of the college campus buildings. They have the main campus building almost in the back when you would think it would be at the front of the campus so new students and visitors would be able to easily see it.
