Freshman: The University of Mississippi, also called Ole Miss, has been an amazing experience for me so far. I've only been in the university for about two months, and in that short period of time, I've been able to do many things. I especially love the very high quality of the professors. They've exceeded every single one of my expectations, and I really enjoy attending their classes! I've also had a really great experience with the International Student & Scholar Services; they're staff has worked hard to ensure that I get everything I need as an international student. The campus is really beautiful, and everything seems to blend in pretty well. There's also a great sports scene if you're into that! Of course, there are some things that could use some work, such as the quality of housing and the variety of food options offered on campus. Sophomore: Millsaps is a great place to go to school! People can complain about lots of things, but you can do that for any institution no matter where you go to school. The community and social life is wonderful, it’s really easy to make friends and be liked. It is a fun place to go to school everyday, and Millsaps has a beautiful campus to accompany that. To be realistic, the biggest struggles Millsaps faces is the Jackson area, and the campus infrastructure. However, I have heard that in terms of the infrastructure, many issues should be resolved and renovated soon! Freshman: MSU is a friendly, welcoming, and supportive college. Everyone here is willing to help and always available to answer any questions. Students here feel like family and make college life enjoyable! There are so many social events and activities that make college fun and exciting. The campus itself is very beautiful and well maintained. I enjoy sitting outside and relaxing under a shade tree. There’s so many places to study that are quiet and peaceful. The dorms are some of the best I’ve seen. They are very spacious and come equipped with a refrigerator, bed, dresser, and a desk. There is plenty of closet space along with storage under the bed for your extra belongings. There are kitchens and laundry rooms available to make living on campus more convenient. There are many great restaurants on campus like Panda Express, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Chick-Fil-A just to mention a few, not to forget the cafeteria. The food here is really good. Senior: There are many things I love about southern miss! My personal favorite is the setup of campus - I'm a very directionally challenged individual, and even I could navigate the campus after a short time. The campus offers a variety of places to eat, study, and participate in extracurricular events. My favorite places are the Payne recreation center and the Cook Library. Of course, there are some downsides. I disliked the credit hour cap each semester - why can I take 19 credit hours but not 20? Why do intercession courses count toward the full session? While that has yet (and, hopefully, never will) affected my degree progress, I have had several friends and classmates who took a long time to graduate because they were only allowed to take up to 6 classes a semester. Junior: My college experience here at Mississippi College has been a rollercoaster of growth. Sophomore: Belhaven University has one of the most unique communities that I have ever seen on a college campus. The professors care about their students and strive to know their students personally so that they are able to support them in their studies. The student body is equally wonderful if you decide to dive into it. Students are excited about getting to know and serve those around them. As a Christian school, many of the students are of the same religion and continue to do their best to show others the love of Christ. Freshman: I have just been enrolled in Itawamba Community College. I recently attended the class of 2025 orientation, and it was perfection. There are three different campus' and I attended orientation at the largest location. The campus offers various clubs and extracurricular activities as well as programs encouraging successful learning. I was anxious to attend college knowing that this is my career I am pursuing, and my life depends on my performance at ICC. I was pleased to see the involvement of helpful staff during this event. Before orientation, I had questions regarding the requirements for enrollment and every member of staff gave immediate response that instantly resolved my confusion. If I could change one thing, it would be for the other location I will be attending to offer the same involvement and activities. Sophomore: I have made some of the best of friends here at East Mississippi Community College. Learning there as been such a beautiful journey. Every professor I have had was extremely helpful. Class sizes are pretty small, so I received as much one-on-one time with my professors as I needed. They also offer free in person and online tutoring, which has helped me a great deal. Freshman: I liked that the community college itself is well organized just like other institutions are having three different campuses of the same college. It's school that is not very expensive and makes a great start to earning any sort of degrees in particular. They also have technical programs that many students can be involved in to have prior experience of working in the field of their desired occupation they want to go for. Colin also works hand to hand with many financially supportive organizations and programs in which they offer a lot of assistance to any student's needs throughout college. Junior: Rust college is the way it is because of the students. They make the school, I would love to see change in the faulty as far as being on the same page as athletics (as I am an athlete).
