I came from a university that genuinely does not have their students best interest at heart. The second I stepped onto campus in Kentucky it has been nothing but love radiated from everyone, from the students, to the staff and faculty, and everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting. Junior: I have attended Centre College since August of 2021. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience, as I find Centre to be a college that genuinely cares about its students. We have a great study abroad program with several country options, as well as a 3-week course in January and May called "Centre Terms" that allow students to go abroad for a short time when they don't want/have no time to study abroad for a semester. The faculty and staff are very friendly and helpful, especially our premier scholarship departments are helpful to students who aren't recipients of the scholarships. I am fortunate enough to have earned a first-generation premier scholarship, but I often seek council from a faculty member over a different scholarship program. Because of his helpfulness, he has helped me earn a competitive summer internship, as he trained me for interviews and heavily revised my essays. Sophomore: Bellarmine is overall a wonderful university! It is a somewhat challenging school, but I feel that can be any college. It really helps you out of your comfort zone. Sophomore: There are many aspects of Eastern Kentucky Universitythat I like. EKU is very welcoming and encourages students to step out of their comfort zone. The professors care about the students and communicate well. The ratio between students and teachers is low, so a student can get some one-on-one time with the professor. They also offer tutoring in all subjects. The tutors are very helpful and are available seven days a week. The dining hall has good food and plenty of space to sit and enjoy a meal with your friends. The Rec Center is new and has a weight room, basketball courts, a swimming pool, e-sports lounge, a walking track, and a rock climbing wall. I really enjoy the Rec Center and I enjoy renting tents an kayaks. I enjoy the grounds of EKU, there are ample places that you can study or focus on your mental health. Senior: This school is a truly transformative experience! It's affiliated with the Roman Catholic church, but the student body and amazing faculty are very diverse and stimulating. Everything about the culture of this school serves the spirit of the liberal arts tradition, and it shows. What makes it really great is how small and locally-grounded it is. TMU has a great reputation for quality education regionally, and the institutional ties to the community are very strong. The community on campus is thriving and intimate (2K-2.5K Student Pop.) with a lot of very different groups and involvements. I'm proud to be graduating from TMU and would recommend it to any student wanting a strong education. Junior: For school, I’m in the education department and the professors are amazing! I know some people would say that other colleges have great professors, but truly, Asbury seeks out the best. I have become close with my educators and the love they show me everyday is unmatched. I am also an athlete and my coach is wonderful. They are kind, patient, and honest. Asbury staff lead students with the most integrity. Asbury staff also leads all students closer to the Lord. Sophomore: KWC is a very small friendly college. If you are looking for a school that has small class sizes, a friendly community and good relationships with the staff KWC is the school for you. My favorite part of KWC is how everyone knows and supports each other. The sports teams go and support one another, our greek life support each other and the academics support our athletics. Junior: I love BU! There is a great school of business, with fantastic professors. The business school is also in the newest building on campus. The Field center has plenty of technology, comfortable study spaces, and access to vending. What more can a commuter asked for? The small class size is great for a more personalized learning experience. You really get to build a relationship with your professors especially the one in your field. They get to know you and how you work best, make the learning process efficient. Brescia University is located in downtown Owensboro (KY), that makes it easy to be part of the community both personal land professionally! There is Fridays after Five down by the river. The only difficulty thing is getting those prime parking spots, but that’s true for any college. Brescia also has great connections with the local businesses community.
