Alum: I recently graduated from the HVAC and Energy Technology program at CCBC. Throughout my time at CCBC, I had the opportunity to grow my skillset in the field through both classroom and hands-on experience. I was able to have flexibility and fit my coursework into my schedule while working full time. Many courses had an online option, which was great! Freshman: My professor is wonderful! She does her best to help all her students succeed. All the staff that I’ve interacted with have been very kind and happy to help. Unfortunately, some of the signup process is convoluted. I am eligible for decreased tuition. Unfortunately, the process for reimbursement is complicated. Despite having done what was required several times, it doesn’t always go through/apply the discount. And to receive the discount, one must go through this process each semester. Other: I attend Harford Community college as a dual enrolled student. I enjoy earring college credits in high school and saving money but signing up for classes can be difficult. It can be hard to get in touch with guidance counselors. Some English professors made the course harder than it has to be. Math test are taken using honor lock. It can be difficult to figure out how to use honor lock at first. Overall this community college isn’t bad. I’ve had opportunities to go on field trips and work with organizations like the NAACP. Freshman: My experience at Notre Dame of Maryland University has been quite the journey. Even though I am a freshman, my first semester was a rollercoaster of emotions and many obstacles that I was unprepared for. Going from the exchange to high school was so different since everything happened so fast, and then the next thing I knew I had a D in 3 classes but with the help of my teachers and the dedication I had to succeed, I was able to fight through this semester.
