Alum: UGA is definitely a large, State University which was a fit for me since I was unsure as to what career path I was initially interested in. So many choices! But it gets much smaller and intimate over time as you get through the core classes and begin to specialize. I joined a fraternity while I was there, but you certainly don't need to be a part of Greek life to find a multitude of social opportunities. It's very easy to make friends at UGA. The sports are amazing and the academics continue to strengthen as the years go by. There really aren't any obvious weaknesses to discuss. The only thing I will say is that the number of students is stressing the available infrastructure in terms of parking and housing. If UGA will focus on increasing the number of dorm rooms and parking spaces then it would help a lot. Graduate Student: At Mercer, I really enjoyed the small class sizes and each of my professors. Most of my professors were very easy to get along with, and really wanted to see each student succeed in the class. I also enjoyed the scenery and historic aspect Mercer's campus provides. Freshman: GNTC Floyd Campus is a great technical college to attend. The tuition is reasonable and they provide so many courses to choose from. They get every student involved with outside activities, too! So far, due to the covid pandemic, I have only been able to do online courses. Next month will be the first time I start learning in class. Their online learning is one of the best ones in my opinion after hearing about some of the other local colleges. Junior: I’ve been to southern crescent a few times however this time I’ve had the best experience. I believe that’s because of the revamping and the new staff. The financial aid process was super smooth, counselors are available, and each of my professors communication has been beyond excellent. The organization and growth of the school/ campus over all has been amazing to watch. They host events and activities for the students that keep us engaged and the time frame in which they inform us is perfect! we know things at least a week or 2 maybe even a month in advance and the event dates are always sent via email with reminders. My favorite thing thus far is the final grade posting.!! The past few semesters the grades have gone in immediately there’s no more than 2days max wait for final grades! All students know the anxiety of final grade postings so 2 days wait is great . If you are interested in starting a new career apply for SCTC it’s worth it, Fall is around the corner!... Sophomore: I started school at Lanier Technical College in the fall of 2019. I was very impressed with the admissions process and registering for classes was very easy! I had no troubles with holds and was able to contact the registrar/admissions office with any questions I had. So far, all of the professors I've had were fantastic! Sophomore: The school was great I've only been on campus to get books and tutoring but it was always a great space. The staff and teachers are very open to helping whenever needed. Freshman: As an online student, my expierience has been pretty straightfoward! Freshman: Ogeechee Tech College seems like a nice college campus with friendly and helpful staff members. I plan on attending there for this coming Summer semester so i am more than excited for that! The area around the college seems a little depressing and gloomy but hopefully i will like it once i start. The only thing i do not really care for is the layout of the college campus buildings. They have the main campus building almost in the back when you would think it would be at the front of the campus so new students and visitors would be able to easily see it. Other: I am currently in high school and enrolled in Southeastern's Dual enrollment program. I have been doing a class each semester and so far I have had great experiences.
