Sophomore: College of the Sequoias is easily one of the best community colleges in the central valley! Freshman: I love the atmosphere here! Everyone is friendly and I really like my professors. Theatre and English are my favorites. The books for classes are so interesting and how our classes and assignments go are pretty interesting and engaging. I wish they had a program to help with books and main supplies. They have been helping with food and some financial aid. Senior: I can only share what I have experienced. Other students may have a difference experience. During my cohort, we have seen professors come and go. Although, we know when we signed up that last minute changes, and frequent changes are to be expected, this can be very disruptive and inconsistent to students. Especially, for those who are working (full / part time) and those who have children. The upside is that we have met great professionals whom exhibits a deep and committed role to ensuring the academic goals and providing every learning opportunities for the students. Freshman: After 3 weeks as a freshman, it’s been a great experience so far, especially meeting new people. Before starting school, we went on a weekend retreat to Hume Lake where I met students and enjoyed 2 days of activities. Sophomore: I love how this school is. Everyone works together and try's to get all of your questions answered. I do wish a few weeks in that the recruiters would have the same support for you. They kind of forget you after a while other that the school is great! I haven’t graduated so the return on investment I don’t know what it would be just yet and there are no dorm rooms no athletic things on campus . Instructors really elaborate no many how many time you ask and they also don’t make you feel dumb for not understanding or wanting to give up. 24/7 you can reach them, may not get back to you at 3:00 am but you can sure send that message at that time and they will respond immediately the next morning. Also I really like how you can have open honest communication.
