The variety of programs and courses at MDC is pretty amazing. they have options for just about everything. Whether you're into arts and humanities, business, health sciences, or technology, MDC has got you covered. MDC has several campuses spread across Miami-Dade County, which is really convenient. I can choose the campus that's closest to me or most convenient for my schedule. Overall, my freshman experience at MDC has been beyond my expectations. The accessibility, variety of programs, convenient campuses, flexible scheduling, diverse community, industry partnerships, and supportive faculty and staff have all contributed to making this a great start to my college journey. Freshman: I think Broward College gets a bad rep of being an old, stinky community college. The truth is, it is very modern and up-to-date with the best resources to help and aid their students with their specific career pathways! I wish however, that they would change their image so it is more aesthetically pleasing to people who hear about this college! The same way people eat with their eyes, people attend universities with their eyes, wanting to go to the absolute best, most prestigious school. Works Here: Atlantic Technical College is the best school that students can ever dream off. Staff and teachers are so compassionate well trained and talented to help students meet their academic and career goals. In addition, most of the programs offered at ATC are between 6 months-12 months, which helps students obtain their certification in timely manner and get in into the workforce. Let's not forget that most of the programs offered at ATC have an articulation agreement with Broward College which allows students to transfer an amount of credits toward their AS of BS degree at BC. Freshman: Sheridan technical is a great school. Most of my friends have studied there and told me that the teachings at the school is very impressive. They offer certificates and degrees in various fields of studies. I am going to be majoring in Information Technologies and my advisor has been awesome. She has made the registration process so easy and has been very helpful. Personally I would recommend this college to anyone, especially now that we are living in a day and age where a bachelor degree is not needed for most careers. Senior: It's a wildly diverse school, both for high school and college students. While school hours overlap for the two groups, college and hs students rarely interact, and it's encouraged we don't interact at all. There's good financial support and many classes to aid those with sensory disabilities and a few ESOL classes too. You can tell the teachers really care about their students. No athletic department or dorms, since it's simply a technical college. They prepare you for a job straight out of schooling, though, and there are apartments and houses all over the area. The food is FANTASTIC, the culinary program makes all of the food fresh every day, and they hire experienced people to help with said food.
