Junior: Overall my time at Delaware Tech has led to to further my skills within a variety of adobe suite programs. However at times I did not feel like Delaware Tech within the classroom was a comfortable place to freely share new and diverse ideas. Most times the ideas that some students were to come up with we’re not palatable to the rest of the class due to a lack of understanding and lack of open mindedness. Delaware Tech is a school that prides themselves on diversity, creativeness and pride in the classrooms. Junior: There are several reasons why my experience attending Wilmington University is great. The college environment is healthy and friendly. The accounting program that I’m in is doing a great job teaching me the information and giving me the tools that I need to succeed in the accounting field. The knowledge of have gained from the overall business program (as opposed to solely the finance core classes) has tremendously helped me expand my usefulness to my future employer(s). Some of the online classes are better than others because some of the professors have surpassed others by using video lectures, Zoom meetings, written and presentative resources, and just overall did better than other professors. I think all schools probably have this fluctuation in consistency. I am completely satisfied with the education I have received and WilmU and equally as important, the cost was affordable enough where I could pay cash. Freshman: I believe that the University of Delaware is a 4/5 star school for many reasons! First and foremost, UD has a strong academic program. The professors are knowledgeable and engaging, and the course offerings are diverse and relevant. The school also has a number of resources available to help students succeed, including tutoring services, study groups, and writing centers. In addition to academics, UD has a vibrant campus life. There are a plethora of clubs and organizations to get involved in, as well as sporting events, concerts, and other social activities. The school is located in a beautiful and historic town, which provides plenty of opportunities for exploration and enjoyment. Despite these positives, the food on campus can be a bit of a disappointment. While there are a few dining options that are decent, many of the options are overpriced and not particularly tasty. Alum: I joined Delaware State University as a transfer student in the fall of 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. During my time there I learned quite a bit regarding the efficiency of their departments. I had a lot of difficulty reaching specific individuals regarding my transfer credits and how to proceed with my required courses. After the initial confusion, I was set on a path toward success. The professors were excellent! They all thoroughly taught course material, most taking the time to answer questions throughout their lectures. College Senior: So far my overall experience at Dawn has been great. After requesting information someone called me back and if I was busy when they called they would ask for a better time to call and actually call me back unlike some other colleges that I had contacted. They were also very prompt in contacting me initially. During my enrollment process I have been contacted and felt welcome by the staff and the same person contacts me every time, love that. Freshman: I love how this school focuses on preparing us for our nursing career! We get so many clinical hours in the hospital local community. I would like to see their organization change because it seems like they all need to get on the same page. Senior: I have had nothing but good experiences with WilmU online. All of my professors have been readily available to help whenever I needed it and the assignments were clearly dated and had approproiate deadlines. I have yet to encounter a professor that was difficult to deal with or who was "too hard".
