Sophomore: I truly believe there is a place for everyone at UConn. I know that everyone goes into college with different hopes and expectations, and UConn has so much to offer to achieve all of them. From academics, to social life, you’ll find whatever you look for at UConn. Sports fans have multiple events to look forward to during the week and there are constantly student organized events occurring across campus that make college life more enjoyable and exciting. The campus is quite large, and sometimes it may be a hike from class to class, however, the nature and the views along the way make it worth it. There are many spots on campus that offer beautiful views of the sunset, and those who enjoy the outdoors have many places where they can sunbathe when the weather is nice or do homework under the shade of a big tree. Sophomore: I am currently in the 4+3 bachelor of athletic training and doctorate of physical therapy track and I absolutely love it. My major is very hands on and the professors truly love what they are teaching. The campus is very straightforward and has a simple layout. There's roughly 12k students on campus, so it's a medium size school that gives a lot of room to relax and a bunch of rooms in every building to study. I feel like this school is fairly comfy and isn't too overwhelming. Sleeping Giant overlooks the campus so there's a great deal of nature that surrounds the campus that gives it an enclosed feel. Food isn't the best, but definitely is not close to being the worst. Theres always a ton of student activities and there are tons of games to go to. Junior: Sacred Heart is an amazing school that really tries to get everyone involved in some way. It is my home away from home, and I always feel welcomed and feel like I belong at Sacred Heart. The campus is always growing and it is gorgeous. Sacred Heart is also very good at listening to their students opinions and suggestions, especially when it comes to the dining halls! Sophomore: University of Bridgeport is an excellent school in terms of curriculum, faculty, and, of course, the radiant and huge campus. You have a wide array of majors to choose from, and the extra curricular opportunities are amazing! This school is also very much suitable for international students, considering I am an international student and I fit it in very nicely, just as other students from over 30 countries who were with me during the Fall '21 intake. However, the only concerning factor about UB is the quality of students; I have a feeling sometimes that University of Bridgeport has kind of a loose attitude about accepting students and therefore you are in there with all kinds of bright and otherwise inclined students. Senior: A school that truly lives up to its expectations. This university has a wonderful staff that ensures your goals are met by the desired timeline. The staff are understanding, encouraging, and overall motivating, to help the student succeed. Students are treated as individuals and you have the opportunity to work one on one with Professors. The school provides numerous opportunities to succeed with office hours, tutoring centers, and open communication with Professors and advisors. The only downside in what brings my rating down is the limitation of courses in the evenings or the availability of courses for students that work full time while going to school full time. Sophomore: I’m currently in my second semester of sophomore year and after completing all of my academic courses, I’m finally able to start working towards my illustration major and animation minor. Sophomore: Naugatuck Valley Community College is a beautiful place to start after high school. Not only is the college free, but there are many opportunities for students to gain profit such as the STEM scholarship. As a STEM member, I can say that my experience was famaminal. Not only did this scholarship prepare me for the incoming college classes, but they have also helped me pick out my classes individually. These classes were specifically chosen for the student so that they may graduate as quickly as possible. The professors at Naugatuck Valley are fantastic as well. They are well educated and formal.
