Sophomore: Youngstown State is one of the closest universities to home. It is the most comfortable and affordable choice for many students in my area. As far as it being affordable goes, I am one of many who struggle to get any scholarships through this university. This is my ultimate issue with this school aside from the parking situation. After tearing down a whole parking deck, parking at YSU is very chaotic. Being a school that most students commute to and from, you would thing parking would be a priority. However, finding a spot within a 10-minute walking distance proves to be hard every day. I do think this school does a very good job of being inclusive and trying to get students involved. Niche User: I have visited Westminster College twice in the last four months. Both times, I was invited by a football coach. On the first visit, we took a tour of campus, visited the football facilities, and watched a football game. It was an amazing visit. That day, I got an offer to be a part of their football team. Westminster became my top choice, and it has remained number one since then. Recently, we went on a second visit. This time, my dad attended with us. He was as impressed as we had been the first time. I have applied to Westminster, and I received my financial aid package offer in a very timely manner. Every step of the way, throughout this process, Coach Blake has been a tremendous help. He is more than just a coach. He is a mentor. Freshman: Just started there but looking forward to my program! I recently applied to the Occupational Therapy Assistant program for the Fall 2022 semester. I live very close to the university and like that it's a quick but rigorous 2 year program. The campus is roughly 10 minutes from my apartment which makes for an easy commute. The career path for how long the schooling is has a great return value. The career choice is a work-field that specializes in helping people that are lacking motor skills or recovering from and injury to learn or regain the abilities to perform activities of daily living. Ever since I was young I have always enjoyed coaching/ mentoring and enjoy giving directions and guiding. I feel this kind of occupation is very rewarding because I'll feel like I am having a direct / immediate impact on someones life. Sophomore: My experience with Kent state University, specifically the Trumbull branch has been and continues to be great. the availability and assistance from the faculty, staff and advisers makes everything very convenient. Freshman: I was so nervous to go back to school, but after putting it off for so many years I told myself just apply. While working full time hours at UPMC in Somerset I have been preparing for not only school at Jameson in New Castle, but moving my entire life as well. Freshman: Would like to see more passionate instructors that go over the material better. I got extremely lucky to have found a great study group where we all teach each other the material. The instructors expect you to know answers that have not been taught and become frustrated when questions are asked in order to clarify the material being taught. However, I do not think I would have found such amazing classmates at any other college, and do not regret enrolling at ETI College. I am not sure if I would recommend ETI College to anyone who is considering nursing school. Every nursing college is going to have its problems and I am happy that I chose ETI and am excited to go through this accelerated course in order to pass my NCLEX and become an associate RN. I am confident that I will pass and be given the material needed in order to pass the NCLEX and be a well-rounded nurse who is ready for employment.
