Senior: My experience at Oklahoma City University has been a great one so far! I am a transfer student majoring in Business. When one of my advisors from community college mentioned an institution that offered a great amount of scholarships to business majors, I knew Oklahoma City University was a great fit for me financially. Not only does OCU provide scholarships, but there is a strong connection among the students and professors. The classes are smaller and there is more involvement in discussions. OCU takes in consideration of developing future leaders in our community and in the industry we attend to. I am thankful to attend to a great institution. Senior: As I'm pursuing a Computer Science degree within Oklahoma Christian University, I will mostly be writing this review in regards to how they handle Computer Science/Engineering majors. Everything considered, the school is great for pursuing a Computer Science and/or Engineering degree. The school offers amazing professors within these fields and said professors make learning fun. The school's relatively small student-body size means connecting with professors is easy and help is readily available through office hours if needed. Work load can be a bit of a challenge, but the Computer Science/Engineering community within this school are filled with outgoing people who will always be willing to help you out. On top of all that, you can tell these professors genuinely care for students' future. Sophomore: I struggle with a few disabilities that impact my academic performance, meaning that I need understanding and forgiving professors. All of the professors in the humanities are amazing. The school was a wonderful proportion of female to male professors. The school itself is almost suffocatingly conservative, but the professors themselves are overall amazing. They're understanding, open-minded, and very very intelligent. The main downfall is for those who wish to pursue postgrad studies. You will have to put in A LOT of work into putting yourself out there and proving that you do not follow the stereotypes for grads of small, private Christian schools. Freshman: UCO is a great college, it's accessible and affordable, offering many scholarship and aid opportunities for incoming and current students! I am a member of the musical theatre program and the professors are incredibly welcoming and everyone in the program wants to see you succeed. The student body is fairly diverse and very supportive of everyone around them, and the school offers many opportunities for engagement on campus through student organizations, greek life, etc. The campus resources are abundant including academic advisors that are always willing to help with questions and financial resource centers for both aid and payments. The campus is fairly good sized, though not too large that it is overwhelming to navigate, and is covered in greenery and inviting areas for students to congregate or have some time to themselves in the scenic area. Freshman: Oklahoma City Community College has the necessary "tools" for success for anybody willing to further their education to have the best opportunity for a great career in the journey of life! I recommend this community college, the instructors are very well educated in the fields they teach in. They work well with others. And are always willing to help outside of the classroom just so the student will succeed in the career field they choose. I am glad I chose this community college. I am currently enrolled in the automotive technology course and the automotive tech instructors are great! And they have a great way in explaining to the students what is being taught. Freshman: I love being a RAIDER! Inquiring and enrolling at Rose State College was one of the best decisions I could have made. The process was so easy and the staff is nice and professional. The campus is a nice size for students who may get overwhelmed by making it to classes on time and the student center is the universal place to meet. Freshman: I love attending OSU-OKC. The staff and professors are vary helpful. I was nervous about attending college and failing, but the atmosphere at OSU has taught me to never give up on my dream. I think that this college is great for anyone who is interested in a smaller college and who does not want to live on campus. The college has also made online classes easy to access and so many classes are available online at your convenience. The school advisor's are also amazing at answering any questions you could have.
