Freshman: So far, I have had a few problems with the university. I understand the goals of the institution and the objectives that the university strives to achieve. The diverse climate in the school is one of my favorite things about the school! The multiple backgrounds of students across campus and the specific groups have allowed me to witness and work alongside different people and similar people as myself. It has made me feel much more welcome and accepted. The only issue I hope to see improvement on within the next couple of years is the school's informational side. When searching online, I am hunting for information and having to call to find out things that I should easily be able to locate. These can include courses, financial aid, and teachers' profiles. If there was an easier system to figure out this information or to be able to view all of the information in one location, the process of application and viewing my situation would be much simpler and easier to perceive.... Sophomore: Everyone is very kind and welcoming, They provided me with tools and resources for my online classes, and I appreciate that they have the tools for assistance with subjects that may not be fully clear. Registering for school was easy, and they were also accommodating. Now that I am attending in person and online, they have provided guidance and additional assistance with the schedule along with other tools for tutoring or questions that may arise during online classes so that you don't have to wait for the next in-person class with any questions or for clarifications. The teachers are very approachable. The flexibility this school has provided me as a single parent is the ability to do my prerequisites online. They offer a variety of majors and provide guidance for finances along with course information and in-school financial assistance, which has been helpful for those of us who do not have co-signers or help from family with our finances. Sophomore: Central New Mexico College is a great institution! They offer a wide range of degrees to choose from and have a great selection of professors! The staff at CNM is amazing and they offer any kind of help you need whether that be with counseling, books, tuition, etc. My experience at CNM has been nothing but amazing! The courses I’ve taken all had amazing instructors and Brightspace is such an easy platform to work with. Majority of my school work has been on Brightspace and it’s has been a breeze to navigate through. I enjoyed the community at CNM, everyone is very friendly and positive. My favorite thing about CNM is the libraries they have at almost every campus! I go there to study, read and get away. CNM is already improving so much every semester but one thing I would like to see is possible a CNM Gym! I believe a gym would be very convenient for all CNM students and staff! Freshman: After nearing the end of my first semester, I have to say I absolutely love this school. This school is very challenging but you definitely get what you pay for. The faculty is wonderful and they are putting constant effort into bettering their programs and the teachers are always open to critiques from us students and actively try to improve!
