Freshman: I am first year generation to be accepted by college, my experience starting my classes was hard to me without tutoring, I learned to be more patient with myself and the laptops. Technology with computers I thought I wouldn't pass my classes,even experience power outages while studying,I knew I had to keep going until I passed every tests and try to reach my full potential/goals. I did it all by myself ENG22 and ENG100 A+ and C+ . I am very proud of myself for hanging in their and Keeping and Staying Focused. GPA 3.8 . I liked my Instructors and how they Teach. I would like to see change Is covid 19 rules&regulations for College. Freshman: Kapiolani is different than your regular community college because they're focused more on you as a student. I really liked it because they offer tutoring resources during set times at the library. In addition to that, their goal is to ultimately have you transfer over to a 4-year university, in order to do that they lay out an academic plan for you as you choose your classes with your goal in mind so that you can make the optimal decision for your future. The campus is clean, safe and offers a gorgeous view of the ocean. The professors are great and are willing to have personal time in order to help you. The only thing that I would recommend changing is the way you register for classes as sometimes the website can be a headache, it has bugged out on me a few times saying that I had a hold on my account which resulted me in having to call support multiple times. Freshman: I love Honolulu Community College. The environment and space are welcoming, effective and also efficient. There's library's, multiple work-study spaces, an amazing cafeteria. A place where you are able to learn and to always be stress-free. One thing I'd necessarily change is guidance through school. Although they do have staff available to help with questions, concerns. But I am currently enrolled, and I was never taught about taxes, school debt, school loans. I'm currently learning about these important things and I'm facing struggles because I didn't receive any financial aid so I'm applying for scholarships, any kind of help I can get.... Niche User: Hello!, i have never been in school at Hawaii Community College but with my experiences of visiting this college i think it has a great learning environment and also a very clean community. I have cousins and my two siblings have had experiences on campus and in classes. I ave asked my sister which is enrolled in HCC how her experience is at this college, she says " i enjoy it it has great education, great vibes around, great people, and a great gym area" so with the words from my sister i am planning on commiting to Hawaii Community College. Sophomore: Honestly, the only thing I would change about Kauai Community College is the lack of extra curricular activities and their sparing access to a viable gym. Truth be told I came in during the pandemic so I really can't gauge it fairly until things open up as usual. That aside, the best part about being at this college is the authenticity and helpfulness of the instructors. Being a student that has attended a number of colleges in the Mainland. Freshman: Although I have only experienced my first semester of freshman year, the standards of this college have met my peaceful expectations and have been since I have marked my interest in middle school. Their environment and structures have simple, yet elegant beauty with intelligent staff who are extremely supportive towards each other and the students. Personally, the institution is highly convenient for me in both travel and tuition, compared to all other universities on the island. (And although the college is cheaper, their food is plenty, diverse, and very delectable!) I also strongly appreciate their charm in the arts and science degrees as I, myself, am an artist! Freshman: The University of Hawaii at Hilo was a great place where I was able to find my passion as a historian. The faculty is amazing. They were all very helpful while I tried different avenues of educational fields and were supportive.
