Graduate Student: My experience was okay, I attended school during Covid, so that made it a little challenging. Freshman: Stanbridge takes pride in making sure that their students succeed and I can agree. Although it is only my first term, all the professors and advisors that I have met have been very helpful. Some improvements that can be made are with parking and technical difficulties. Despite the expansion of the overflow lot across the street, parking is still very difficult to find considering that there are so many cohorts on campus at one time. In my honest opinion, the Edverum website can be improved by being able to see your grades for all your classes on one page. Another thing that should be changed is where we can see all the assignments that are due during the week all on one page too. These two enhancements can help create an efficient workspace for students. On the other hand, I wish the communication was better between the staff and students. Freshman: I love the atmosphere here! Everyone is friendly and I really like my professors. Theatre and English are my favorites. The books for classes are so interesting and how our classes and assignments go are pretty interesting and engaging. I wish they had a program to help with books and main supplies. They have been helping with food and some financial aid. But I really wish they could help with supplies, because that can really add up fast, especially since a lot of students have to work a lot to have enough for it. Freshman: It is a small school located at Broadway, Glendale, CA. When I first went here for inquiry and school tour, I was welcomed with great people. Haik, who is the vice-president I believe, went over the details of the programs, interviewed me and explained every single details for the application process. I took the exam and passed it. Alum: Experience? What comes to mind when I think of my experience at San Joaquin Valley College Bakersfield campus, is amazing instructors. I was worried going in to the electrical technology program that I would be treated differently, but I was wrong. I was treated just like every other student that showed up everyday on time and ready to learn. When the campus started to open back up SJVC had a few issues that got lost in translation between new staff and students. With that being said SJVC handled these minor hiccups promptly and sufficiently. I went the extra mile and received my A.S. degree and was helped every step of the way. Junior: All throughout high school my teachers would try to hammer this perception that in college, I would be truly independent and nothing more than a number in a classroom. This couldn't be further from the truth regarding CBU. The professors here generally care for their students and show teaching is their passion. Professors remind us on the regular that they're available during their office hours and are even willing to make themselves available for us whenever we had questions. Every Professor I've had thus far has prayed for us before we take an exam, this helped me feel less stressed. Campus life is fun. Dorm life is a great way to make connections. If you're an incoming freshman, I recommend you try and live in Smith/Simmons hall. Campus always has a lot of events going on all the time. Make sure you get involved! Freshman: I love CBD college. I was enrolled in hybrid program for surgical technologist. The first nine month everything was online. The second nine months, I only attended two times per week in college for lab classes. The teachers were very educated and well informed. They helped me every time I needed help. The instructors are more than happy to spend the extra time with you to make sure you are able to succeed in the program. I loved studying at CBD college. The staff is awesome. Sophomore: Platt is a great college to attend if you have decided on what you plan on doing for the future. There programs are fast paced and easy to understand. FASFA is available to help with education cost. The staff will help you every step of the way. The teachers are super helpful and very understanding. The teachers spend lots of their time slowly teaching us the subject and making sure we understand. There staff is great with any assistance needed and there are many resources in hand. There resources on campus are, a library with computer access to exam studying for free, tutoring, and also able take home a cromebook. Sophomore: I am current attending Platt College for DMS. It is a 18 month program which means it is very fast paced. One think I wish was different is that the program would’ve been longer. It was too much information in such a short time. Everything felt too rushed since we only had 12 months to learn how to scan, ultrasound physics, and pathology.
