Graduate Student: I had a pretty good experience here! There were some teachers within the nursing program who acted like they didn’t care, but there were far more who did! They helped motivate me and even talked me off the ledge when I was thinking about quitting! In my Final semester, I didn’t have any financial aid to pay my tuition, but with the help of my advisor and financial aid, which one of my instructors told me to do, I was able to find and apply for a scholarship and finish my degree! I take loved the fact that I didn’t have to enroll myself in my classes also, so I never had to guess on what to take, even before I was in my program! They took great care of me. Alum: The atmosphere was amazing! When I went to school here, there were only about 12,500 students but we all felt like a family. The professors really cared for the students. The academics were great. Professors would combine book work with projects that would prepare you best for the type of job you would retain. Even when you have graduated, you are connected with other alumni’s. It’s big enough that you don’t know everyone but small in a sense where you can cross friendship circles. Alum: My experience at MCC was great! All the professors I had were great and were invested in their students success. It is a good place to go to if you are not ready for a big university. They have so many resources available to students that it is impossible not to succeed, not only academically but personally as well. They also have two universities on campus that students could go to if they can not quite afford to go off to an expensive university. Freshman: At Hill College, I really enjoyed the close-knit community. The professors were always available for questions and provided a lot of support. The campus itself was beautiful, with plenty of green spaces to relax and study. One thing I would love to see change is more clubs and organizations for students to join.
