Alum: After graduating from a community college I was really nervous to start a new school. I have to say I quickly fell in love with Mercy! It’s small, easy to get around and just all around so good. They really go above and beyond for the students. From petting farms brought to the school to destress for finals, catered Panera snacks, free zoo tickets, chic-fil-a dinners etc. They just went that extra mile. The staff is really great and they really have put so much into the building itself. It is expensive, please apply for all scholarships as I was awarded a few large ones! Don’t let that hold you back! If I would have kept trying to get into my community college nursing program I would still be waiting! That would have been wages lost so it equals out! Mercy is VERY easy to get into because it’s a private college! I wasted years at my community college on a degree that did nothing for me while waiting to get into the nursing program! Sophomore: The University of Findlay is a great place to focus on school and make friends. There are very few distractions and it is a great school centered around athletics and since there are a great deal of student athletes many of them are intertwined through their respective sports and therefore have people to aid them in their studies as well. They also have a great staff who are dedicated to helping their students and ensuring a proper education. Not only this, but they are willing and happy to give you advice outside of school as well. Freshman: My experience at Bowling Green State University has been nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere on campus is just radiant and I could not see myself at any other campus. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, and all the staff just want you to succeed. The right-knit community just makes this university home. Students on campus, like myself, just have the best time! Sophomore: I have had a great experience with Stautzenberger College so far. At first, I was leery about how I would perform in the class room and how my grades may turn out due to not being in school for quite some time but the staff at Stautzenberger are more than willing to help make you feel comfortable and the work was, to my surprise, not as difficult as I had presumed. The instructors are very knowledgeable and thorough about the information being presented and always happy to lend a hand and explain anything that you may not fully understand. Stautzenberger Community College provides an abundance of resources for their students and will also help with job placement. I am very satisfied in my choice of college with Stautzenberger and if I had to start over, I would choose Stautzenberger again. Other: I attended Owens for 4 semesters as a CCP student and really enjoyed my time there. I gathered 34 college credit hours before graduating high school and will be transferring them to a 4 year public university this fall. 26 of these credits were taken online and 8 were in person. The professors really cared and offered support, encouragement, and advice whenever they could. I loved all of my professors and met some really cool classmates. I highly recommend Cory Hoover for English courses and L. Scott Deaner for Human Geography as a general elective course. They were my favorite professors and I took 2 classes with each of them because the content was so interesting. I learned a lot during my time at Owens and met some great friends. It is definitely a different experience from public universities and there aren't a lot of student activities compared with bigger schools since the student body on campus is relatively small. Junior: This is my second time attending Davis. I received my Associate's Degree in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding in 2007, but was working in another field and didn't use my degree.
