Graduate Student: I was at Upstate for 2 years finishing my bachelors in nursing. All of my professors I had throughout my time at upstate were all outstanding people and educators. Every single Professor I had was extremely kind and respectful to the all who had questions, and they always provided detailed explanations. During my 2 years, my brother developed acute myeloid leukemia, which caused a great deal of stress on my and my families lives which ultimately led me to struggle with school. I reached out to my professors at the time and they were incredibly supportive and understanding. They offered any assistance I needed without making me feel shamed for needing it. I’m incredibly great full for this school and the connections I have made. My mother is an alumni which is why I chose Upstate along with their excellent nursing program. Freshman: Bryant and Stratton has been an amazing experience so far. There is always the opportunity for one on one time with instructors and advisors. All instructors and other faculty are very helpful. They take our mental health into consideration, which many colleges do not. Junior: Onondaga Community College has been preparing me to do well inside and outside the classroom. The knowledge that I gained from my Business Administration classes has tought me about leadership, financing, accounting, and entrepreneurship. My professor's are friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to help. After graduating I plan to work in leadership positions in areas such as retail, government, and education. Freshman: I was enrolled in another big name university, and had to drop out due to covid and come back home. Cayuga CC is a great option for students, and I wish I attended this school first. Great tutoring, wonderful professors, real life applications. Only 4/5 stars because it is a bit hard to make friends here, most students are commuters (but also very friendly!) The staff goes out of their way to help you. Books and supplies are almost always free, the library has every single book you could need for your class. Nursing program is difficult for sure, but very rewarding! I would love to see a formal dining hall, more engaging student body, etc. But we are still in COVID so its understandable. Not much diversity. Campus is small, but it is a community college. I never felt cramped despite a small campus.... Read 256 reviews

Niche User: My experience at OCM Boces is all positive. The process of getting into the LPN program was easy and not hard at all. Staying in the program is challenging, but it gets you ready for the real world. They make sure you know what you need to do in the real world and make sure no one is left behind. Along with classroom and clinical, you get to go into the real world and have the chance to do hands on experience. Only thing I will suggest is having a printer available to the students....
