Freshman: I absolutely adore Lake-Sumter State College. It is about twenty minutes from where I live and convenient. Not to mention the campus is beautiful. However, community college is only for some. It is not entirely the college experience you would get at a university: no dorms and roommates, no food services, and not nearly as many people. I personally don't think it is a big deal, and I enjoy having smaller classes with fewer people where I can get more one-on-one help. There are so many tutors available at all times, and anyone and everyone are willing to help you there. Freshman: Everything at Herzing is clearly designed to help you succeed. The staff, from the security guard to admissions to financial aid and beyond, are all super helpful and nice. Even when I made a mistake, they were right there with me trying to figure out how it could be fixed. They truly care. Herzing also has various programs to assist students which is amazing. They help with getting your first job after graduation, including resume and interview assistance. They have a place where you can get mental health services so you don't get too burned out from your coursework. It's just amazing compared to other campuses I've seen. The Orlando campus is rather small compared to some of the other colleges nearby (UCF, Full Sail and Valencia), only one building with several stories high. But I think it's better that way. Senior: City college is a great school you learn so much hands on experience and also the classes are not over crowded.
