Senior: I enjoy going to school every day, the instructors are knowledgeable and are all retired technicians. The best part about having retired technicians as teachers is they know the field as they have experienced what does and doesn’t happen in the Field. Another thing I enjoy about this school is that they treat it like a job. You are required to have your uniform boots and badges everyday or you get infractions. This helps gain the will this person be reputable in the field aspect of having a career in this industry. Niche User: I've loved my experience at EAC! The classes are small and the teachers are kind, so you feel like you're getting a very personalized experience. I'm a language major there, and I've always felt welcomed by the rest of the language department. The professors are understanding and excellent at keeping a manageable workload. Furthermore, their tutoring center is one of the best I've seen. There's free tutoring available in almost every subject, and the tutors are available whenever it's most convenient for students. Sophomore: It was very good. I took live online classes because it was in COVID times, but it was still good given the circumstances and the affordability of it. I was happy with it, and basically the only things I would improve would be to make sure the students are understanding and don't have questions before moving on and on from lesson to lesson. I experienced this in my math class. I had straight A's in all of my classes--except for math class. This happened both semesters of the year I did college online in COVID times. The professors at this school were all quite good, I was happy with them. Most of them were very competent and good at explaining and teaching, and even the few that weren't seemed to care a lot about the well-being of the students, and be sympathetic to our situation with all the COVID online weirdness going on. Alum: My experience at Chandler-Gilbert Community College was an amazing one. I don’t even know where to begin! I took so many different courses and learned exactly what I needed to and more. Sophomore: PVCC is a great school to start your college journey. The classes are affordable, the campus is easy to navigate, and the professors are usually pretty great. When deciding on a degree path, the advisors are excellent at helping you get on track. My last two semesters there were a bit confusing and I was having difficulty figuring out what classes I needed to sign up for so that I could properly transfer my credits to the graduate school I chose. My academic advisor was thorough and replied to my messages quickly. He made sure I was on the right track and everything has gone through correctly. The counseling office was also helpful. Graduate Student: The campus is clean and very easy to navigate through. All my teachers were very understanding and kept the communication very clear and open. Freshman: Enrolling and applying for Cochise College was extremely easy with plenty of people available for questions and help. The entire staff I had interreacted with made enrolling and understanding things like finances and tuition much more approachable and smooth to go through, espeically while requesting disability accommodations. Planning and holding meetings were quick and very efficient to get what I needed with little to no hassle. I really appreciated how approachable they made each task instead of surrounding the whole process of enrollment and figuring out my tuition with even more dread. Freshman: I've had friends take online classes before, but none of their schools compares to Yavapai College in Prescott Arizona. Not only are the teachers amazing and really give you that one on one time to ask questions and actually learn things, but they also provide you with a laptop and hotspot in case you don't have your own. Financial aid is on top of everything, making sure that you get everything filled out and submitted on time to get grants and scholarships. All of the student advisors I've had have been really helpful in helping me to decide which classes to take so that I wasn't overwhelmed and would have the time to do my best in each one. Freshman: The people are so sweet especially Sierra she walked me threw my whole application as well as my financial aids I was able to achieve. I love that I get to work at home as well as two classes in person a week it definitely helps me when it comes to the cost of gas as well as not constantly getting burnt out. Sophomore: Unfortunately in the short term of attending GateWay Community College for one semester in the Evening Nursing Program, I had very little time to grasp all of what the college had to offer throughout the day, due to working night shifts and living 30 minutes away. Though a couple of things I enjoyed how well organize the campus was. Freshman: For my first semester doing online classes was a neat experience. Both instructors were on top with communication if you needed help understanding the assignments or having difficulties with it or even needing an extension for technical reasons that one could be struggling. The fact that they have student services where one can take opportunity to use whether it's getting help with essays or math by tutors or using their online tutoring services for free which makes it stress free. Also services to assist in how to find scholarships and learn how to write scholarship essays too. Everyone there is helpful and courteous which helps calm any anxiety and can answer any questions you may have about enrollment, financial aid and such.
