Junior: Boomer Sooner! I recently transferred to OU and have loved every single moment. The University of Oklahoma has such a large and diverse population that you cannot fail to find your place here. There are so many colleges, courses, and professors to choose from. There are entire departments dedicated to ensuring the well-being of all students, all you have to do is ask around. There are more than 100 student organizations on campus, cultural, academic, sport-oriented, and religious organizations for students to choose from, and if you feel any of the existing organizations does not cater for your needs, you are allowed to make your own. There is academic advising, peer tutoring, group tutoring sessions, a library database with more than enough information, and office hours provided by professors and teaching assistants among other services to ensure that students are supported to produce the best results at school. Graduate Student: Oklahoma City Community College was perfect for starting out my journey through college. I completed high school online, and before that I was in a private school. Because of this, I was a little intimidated integrating into a traditional school for the first time. OCCC allowed me to make this transition with no trouble. It truly is like a community in which people care about you and want you to succeed. The classes are smaller which makes it easy to connect with classmates and make friends. The teachers are communicative and make their coursework easy to understand. They provide good study materials and make the course expectations clear. OCCC is also a very affordable option, which is great when you’re just starting out. It has very helpful resources like the writing center, where people assist you in building upon your language skills. It is easy to find help when you need it. Sophomore: I really appreciate the community involvement and loving atmosphere that is found throughout Oklahoma Christian. The professors might be strict but they are providing adversities that will be faced after college and I respect them more because of that. The food at OC could improve by supplying more variation and allowing the Eagle Bucks to be used at more places; such as Subway, McDonald's, Starbucks...and the list goes on. Senior: My experience at Oklahoma City University has been a great one so far! I am a transfer student majoring in Business. When one of my advisors from community college mentioned an institution that offered a great amount of scholarships to business majors, I knew Oklahoma City University was a great fit for me financially. Junior: Southern Nazarene University is a small campus that puts community, commitment, and Christ at the center of its values. No matter a student's athletic status, academic goals, or level of involvement on campus, authoritative figures intentionally pursue each one with the intent of getting them connected with other staff and peers around campus. Professors know each student by name and set aside office time to ensure they are on the track to success. Placing Christ at the center of the school's being allows students to belong to something greater than themselves. Sophomore: I absolutely loved macu while I was there! Everyone there is so friendly and it was so easy to make friends! You feel involved with almost anything there!
