Freshman: I absolutely love LIT. When you are on campus, it just feels like a weight have been lifted. The counselors and students there are so helpful when it comes to picking a class, graduating, and even life circumstances. LIT offer students tutors and also guidance counselors. That school is really big on pushing students to fulfill their academic goals and requirements. Niche User: I am currently a dual enrollment student at Lamar State College - Port Arthur. Lamar State College - Port Arthur is a very good and local college to go to. It is a small college but everyone is friendly as well as the professors. There are new buildings being made for different courses that people could take. The college has some really good food both during breakfast and lunch. All the professors I have had were all very professional and nice. They understand our situations if we miss an assignment or could not come to class on that day. Overall, Lamar State College - Port Arthur is a very good school to go to. Freshman: This was completely new to me being that this was my first time attending college after being out of high school for 110 plus years, so you could imagine the anxiety I had once I decided to finally apply not knowing all that needed to be done. Everyone was very helpful with helping me get started and pointed me into the right direction where I needed to go or what I needed to do next. I was looking for a place where I needed to go and was confused on where to go so one of the employees was kind enough to stop what she was doing just to show me where exactly I needed to go. I really appreciated that! Another employee also helped me out because I was afraid I had missed the deadline to get help with my tuition for the Summer. I could find the link so she emailed it to me to try it and thankful I got the help I needed. If it wasn't for her help I probably wouldn't have been able to start school this Summer as planned.
