Freshman: UCO is a great college, it's accessible and affordable, offering many scholarship and aid opportunities for incoming and current students! I am a member of the musical theatre program and the professors are incredibly welcoming and everyone in the program wants to see you succeed. The student body is fairly diverse and very supportive of everyone around them, and the school offers many opportunities for engagement on campus through student organizations, greek life, etc. The campus resources are abundant including academic advisors that are always willing to help with questions and financial resource centers for both aid and payments. The campus is fairly good sized, though not too large that it is overwhelming to navigate, and is covered in greenery and inviting areas for students to congregate or have some time to themselves in the scenic area. Sophomore: I love Tulsa Community College! I have connected with people from all over tulsa with so many different backgrounds. The professors here are amazing. Sophomore: Northeastern State University is an excellent college to attend. This campus has many friendly faces to meet and outstanding professors. NSU is a perfect size if you want a school that is big enough to offer everything while not feeling too overwhelmed. This college feels like home! The only thing I think this campus lacks is enough parking for housing students. However, this school offers a very diverse setting, which is incredible because not only am I learning new things from my classes, but I am also learning all kinds of cultural things from the friends I have made from attending NortheasternState University. NSU is a liberal art school with an excellent science program. While NSU offers many things academically, NSU also provides a wide variety of clubs you can join. Sophomore: Although the University of Tulsa is known for being expensive, they are very generous with scholarships (I myself have managed to pay for the full cost of attendance with their help). The small class sizes are a great way to connect with both classmates and professors, and the relatively small campus size makes it easy to get to closely-scheduled classes. Plus, it's a lot easier to enroll in classes when there are fewer people competing for a spot. As for looks, the campus is beautiful -- it's got a lot of gorgeous flora and excellent sights. I feel like the ambience of the university is a huge factor of why I love attending. There are dozens of resources on campus for pretty much everything, from tutoring to career planning. The academic advisors do a great job making sure students are taking the classes they need to graduate and are interested in. Junior: I love ECU. I have made so many friends here in such a small amount of time. I believe the small size of the campus allows students to interact with one another more often. Because of the small size of the campus, class sizes usually follow suit. This allows for much more interaction with professors than other "big name" universities. Professors always seem to be available throughout the day and respond to emails very quickly. Tutors are readily available in many of the departments, so there is always someone on hand willing to help! There is a lot to do on campus other than just schoolwork. The Wellness Center is available most hours of the day, and sports a basketball gym, weight room, racquetball rooms, swimming pool, and a room for crossfit! There are also many tennis courts and volleyball pits to be found on campus as well as crowds of students willing to play! Extracurriculars are abundant and are always seeking more membership.... Sophomore: My experience here overall was very good. I've made lifelong friends, many of whom are my professors from in-person classes! I absolutely never would've imagined I'd make it this far. I'm horrible at math, and I can honestly say that Prof. Talia (Branham-)Williams taking time to explain that it's just a matter of solving each problem as though it's a puzzle, and you've been given it simply to see if you're mature enough to persevere until you solve it instead of breaking down & quitting. Graduate Student: I loved attending Community Care College. When I got to CCC there were so many career options available I was scared of the cost and commitment. I was going to have to change my entire. Then I saw the cost of education, it was not something I took lightly. I knew if I was going to go to school, I was going to give it my all or I would be just wasting my time and money. I had no idea that I was using the wrong perspective when I was looking at the cost of my education. Now I know my education was well worth it and not just in the books and curriculum.
